French Quarter Inn in Charleston, South Carolina

For over a decade, the French Quarter Inn in historic Charleston, South Carolina has been indulging guests with its regal accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and superb service. A 2014 Condé Nast Traveler Platinum Circle Gold List recipient and a AAA Four-Diamond destination, the inn enjoys an envious central location in the heart of historic Charleston. With its timeless elegance, rooms - both private and public - are appointed in French urban décor coupled with Parisian blue accents and warm wood furnishings. Oversize guest rooms and suites appear even larger with expansive 14-foot ceilings. Behind guest doors are plush sanctuaries with triple-sheeted beds, recently renovated baths, and in some cases, working fireplaces and private balconies. The sound-sleep pillow menu and turndown service ensures a restful slumber.

Amenities seem almost too good to be true with complimentary champagne and lady fingers upon arrival, daily afternoon wine and cheese, fresh-baked cookies and milk in the evening, a gourmet continental breakfast served in your room or in one of the public areas, and 24-hour coffee service. Within walking distance are a number of fabulous restaurants, including the hotel's very own Tristan. With its urbane décor of hardwood floors, a whimsical banquette, and minimal appointments, Tristan offers a decidedly bold American fare menu for brunch, lunch or dinner plus an astounding 400-label wine cellar. Take a stroll along the city's cobblestone streets following your fine meal, enjoy a tour of an antebellum home, share a frothy cappuccino near the waterfront, or prowl through the shops on premises. There are also several enjoyable city tours that paint a fascinating picture of Charleston's centuries-old history.

The difference between a good and a great hotel is the quality of service - The French Quarter Inn has outstanding service which makes it a great hotel! Everything about the hotel is high quality - from the wonderful rooms, the exceptionally good breakfast, the wine and cheese and the cookies. On the breakfast - the quality of the pastries/baked goods was exceptional. They also had organic Greek yogurt with the best granola I’ve tasted. Cut fruit was very good - fresh berries as well as melons. This is in addition to several other breakfast items. The jams at the wine and cheese tasking were great - unique to South Carolina and once again high quality. In summary - not your run of the mill hotel food but a high quality meal that I would personally purchase at a good restaurant. The free water in the rooms was a nice touch, as was the very good thirst quenchers that were available throughout the day (lemonade, detox water, peach tea). Need I say more... On the service front, when I complimented them on the quality of the pastries, they gave me a few to carry home. They also provided me with information on the vendor for their jams so that I could purchase it directly and have it shipped to my home. They were always smiling and happily helped me with restaurant suggestions and arrangements for touring the city. Don’t hesitate, just book this hotel! Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so wonderful.

We stayed at the French Quarter Inn from February 16th through February 19th 2018. We loved the hotel and the service was impeccable! This was truly the southern hospitality experience. Especially, Ms. Anice was wonderful, delightful, refreshing, full of positive energy, offered incredible suggestions, and always had a smile on her face. We are so happy we chose to stay at French Quarter Inn and would suggest anyone visiting to stay here. Thank you and we will definitely come back!

I do not typically take the time tor write reviews for our trips, but a recent stay at the French Quarter Inn was so notable that I felt the need to share! The front desk staff so welcoming, and Anice, the hospitality hostess at the wine and cheese events, absolutely delightful! Everyone all smiles and positive attitude. Thank you French Quarter, we will be back!!

Words can’t even say how amazing this hotel is! I have never been to a hotel where you are treated so special. There is not a single thing that is not thought of. We didn’t care for Charleston in a whole but we would go back just to stay at the Frenc Quarter Inn. Every member of the staff are so nice and make you feel at home

We wanted to celebrate my return from deployment and enjoy a quick vacation somewhere in SC so we chose Charleston. After doing some research we decided to splurge a bit and stay at the French Quarter Inn. We were not disappointed. The service out of the gate was phenomenal, the valet/front desk staff/housekeeping/food service staff were very attentive. We were probably the only guests with children and the staff were gracious to have a pack and play available for our little one. The tea time, cookies and milk, and breakfast all made the stay all the more comfortable. The kids loved the jelly beans and Reese's pieces! The location is minutes away on foot from great eating, walking tours, city market, and the waterfront pier. A difficult location to beat and the service just sends to over the top. The price was on the higher end but worth it!
