French Quarter Inn in Charleston, South Carolina

For over a decade, the French Quarter Inn in historic Charleston, South Carolina has been indulging guests with its regal accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and superb service. A 2014 Condé Nast Traveler Platinum Circle Gold List recipient and a AAA Four-Diamond destination, the inn enjoys an envious central location in the heart of historic Charleston. With its timeless elegance, rooms - both private and public - are appointed in French urban décor coupled with Parisian blue accents and warm wood furnishings. Oversize guest rooms and suites appear even larger with expansive 14-foot ceilings. Behind guest doors are plush sanctuaries with triple-sheeted beds, recently renovated baths, and in some cases, working fireplaces and private balconies. The sound-sleep pillow menu and turndown service ensures a restful slumber.

Amenities seem almost too good to be true with complimentary champagne and lady fingers upon arrival, daily afternoon wine and cheese, fresh-baked cookies and milk in the evening, a gourmet continental breakfast served in your room or in one of the public areas, and 24-hour coffee service. Within walking distance are a number of fabulous restaurants, including the hotel's very own Tristan. With its urbane décor of hardwood floors, a whimsical banquette, and minimal appointments, Tristan offers a decidedly bold American fare menu for brunch, lunch or dinner plus an astounding 400-label wine cellar. Take a stroll along the city's cobblestone streets following your fine meal, enjoy a tour of an antebellum home, share a frothy cappuccino near the waterfront, or prowl through the shops on premises. There are also several enjoyable city tours that paint a fascinating picture of Charleston's centuries-old history.

Not a finer hotel in Charleston. Rooms were awesome. The staff was on of the best I have ever seen. So friendly and prompt. Enjoyed my three nights there. Would gladly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Great job French Quarter Inn!

Loved our experience at the French Quarter Inn. From the valet guys, to the front desk to the maid service, we had outstanding customer service. Greeted us with champagne at check in, wine and snacks in the afternoon and then again late night. They are all very friendly and helpful. Not only great customer service, but great location as well. Walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants. Can't wait to go back and visit again.

Well, we just got back from our 4th stay at this Inn. It just gets better every time. The Inn is always clean. VERY clean. The rooms, beds, pillows are super comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The evening wine and cheese reception is a nice way to relax before dinner. Being greeted by Anise's smiling face and warm conversation at the reception just makes my day. She truly loves serving the guests. This time I was fortunate enough to meet Susan, our housekeeper. What a gem. Our room was spotless and she made sure we had everything we needed for our family of 3. I could go on and on. This Inn has figured out the true meaning of Southern Hospitality. I will be back!! One more thing, we left some clothing in our room and Glori called me that afternoon and asked the best way to get our items back to us. Such service!

We had the best experience at the French Quarter Inn. The staff was great even helping me when I booked thru a third party site that lost our reservation going above and beyond to call and help straighten it out. Shout out to Jenny and Glori for their help. The hotel is the cleanest I have stayed at and the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you with any need or want. I highly recommend staying here when in Charleston!

Wow, talk about top notch, I was blown away by this place. Location wise, this is just steps away from the market, you can walk to just about anywhere from this location. Champagne reception, fantastic happy hour with wine and great hors d'Å“uvres, just make sure you dining reservations are later or you may be too full to go out and eat! After dinner, don't order dessert, cookies and milk (and Porto) are served later in the evening, yum. Breakfast is also included and you can order and have it delivered to your room or go to the main floor and eat there. Service was friendly and facilities were very clean. They even have an extensive pillow menu, but unfortunately we called and ordered but never got, must have got missed. Now, this is not a cheap place and just to let you know, valet parking was $30 per day. But if you are going to splurge a bit this is the way to do it! Still looking around? Ok, Harbor View Inn, very nice especially if you pay extra for a room with a view. John Rutledge House, very nice and historical, if you pay to stay in the main house, not the Carriage house. I would still recommend French Quarter Inn first.
