French Quarter Inn in Charleston, South Carolina

For over a decade, the French Quarter Inn in historic Charleston, South Carolina has been indulging guests with its regal accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and superb service. A 2014 Condé Nast Traveler Platinum Circle Gold List recipient and a AAA Four-Diamond destination, the inn enjoys an envious central location in the heart of historic Charleston. With its timeless elegance, rooms - both private and public - are appointed in French urban décor coupled with Parisian blue accents and warm wood furnishings. Oversize guest rooms and suites appear even larger with expansive 14-foot ceilings. Behind guest doors are plush sanctuaries with triple-sheeted beds, recently renovated baths, and in some cases, working fireplaces and private balconies. The sound-sleep pillow menu and turndown service ensures a restful slumber.

Amenities seem almost too good to be true with complimentary champagne and lady fingers upon arrival, daily afternoon wine and cheese, fresh-baked cookies and milk in the evening, a gourmet continental breakfast served in your room or in one of the public areas, and 24-hour coffee service. Within walking distance are a number of fabulous restaurants, including the hotel's very own Tristan. With its urbane décor of hardwood floors, a whimsical banquette, and minimal appointments, Tristan offers a decidedly bold American fare menu for brunch, lunch or dinner plus an astounding 400-label wine cellar. Take a stroll along the city's cobblestone streets following your fine meal, enjoy a tour of an antebellum home, share a frothy cappuccino near the waterfront, or prowl through the shops on premises. There are also several enjoyable city tours that paint a fascinating picture of Charleston's centuries-old history.

My wife and I stayed at the French Quarter Inn to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We were greeted with champagne upon check-in. The hotel and staff were outstanding. The complimentary breakfast, wine and cheese, and cookies and milk service were top-notch. Anice assisted with the food service area and was extremely friendly. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance to essentially anywhere you would want to visit. Bikes are also complimentary for guests and provide a great opportunity to explore the historic streets of Charleston. I cannot say enough about the French Quarter Inn. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to be pampered in luxury!

I'm writing this review from our Queen Suite at the French Quarter Inn. I'm so glad we still have 3 more days here!!!! The hotel has exceeded our expectations. We are so glad we chose this place. I'm here on a girls trip with my mom & sister. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Everything is so clean & chic. I researched a lot of places to stay in Charleston and we are so glad we chose this place. Has an upscale European feel to it. We are thoroughly enjoying our stay and don't want to leave! I can see why this hotel has won so many awards! Spend the money and stay here. Location is great and close to everything. The only thing missing is a pool.

I just came home from my trip to Charleston and had to write about this hotel. My sister had chosen it and we'd upgraded. Let me say it was worth every penny. The room was lovely and quiet while the staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The valet went out of his way to direct us and answer questions. We took the bikes out one Saturday morning. It was fairly close to the City Market so it was easy to find some place for dinner. If I get a chance to return, that will be where I will stay.

Located in the heart of Charleston, walking distance to most attractions. On arrival, Jerry the valet, welcomed us and directed us to the lobby, parked our car and brought our bags to our room. Warmly greeted at the front desk by Graci who made sure all of our needs were met, champagne while our bags were delivered. Graci was able to get us reservations at Hanks Seafood, something we were unable to do over the phone. Spectacular room, clean comfortable king size bed, flat screen tv, outstanding bathroom. Breakfast, yogurt, berries, fruits and granola, bagels, rustic breads, eggs, baked goods, all fresh and delicious. 5:30pm wine and cheese with fresh meats and more. late evening port on the deck with more snacks. Expect to be spoiled and catered to.

Overall, I really like this boutique hotel. Location is excellent—close to everything fun downtown. Service was really close to perfect. Doorman/Valets are excellent, friendly and really service oriented. Hotel was very quiet, which I really appreciate.
