From check in to check out the French Q Inn has old-world charm down! This hotel offers elegant surroundings and such gracious staff, thoughtful touches — wonderful coffee (and I am picky about coffee 😂) available 24/7 in the lobby, M & Ms/Jelly Bellies set up so cute at the lobby counter, fresh cookies at night and a great healthy breakfast, evening wine/cheese Happy Hour. The staff is so wonderful as well! We stayed in a two-room very large “Market Suite” and the room was perfection for my 16-year-old son and me, spacious and soooo quiet. The turn-down service was one of the sweetest I have ever experienced. When we returned to our room there was a handwritten weather report and a crackling fire on the TV. After a long week in another area at an Air B & B this was soooo lovely and I just felt pampered! Also, this was the perfect location for walking and touring the city! I enjoyed my coffee and breakfast and then walked right out my door to all the sites! Book this hotel! You won’t regret it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. If you're looking for a sophisticated charming hotel that is located in the perfect spot to walk to all or any downtown eateries, markets, shops, waterfront, etc., stay here. Everything we felt compelled to do in Charleston was within walking distance save visiting the Lighthouse and a plantation. The room was impeccably clean. We even had a pillow menu from which we could custom choose our pillow. Additionally, they provided a sound machine for guests and a machine that cleaned cell phones. Yeah! Chocolates, water, and ice were provided for us every evening. Breakfast was fabulous! They even provided Happy Hour goodies with wine, crackers, and cheese, and then a Nighttime snack of milk, cookies, and port wine. Chocolates and coffee were always available for the taking. The beds were more than comfortable. Even the blow dryer and make up mirror were a cut above the norm. We can't say enough positive comments about this place. Stay here if you visit Charleston. You won't regret it and will want to return again. It would be so great if every hotel followed their accommodating protocol!

If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would!! Everything from the atmosphere to the cleanliness of the hotel rooms to the friendly staff-it was fabulous!! Went here on a little weekend getaway and it was the perfect location! Walkable to the market, King Street and all the fantastic restaurants in town! Loved wine and cheese hour everyday and milk and cookies served in the lobby at night! Would definitely stay here again!!! Thanks for the great stay!!

We are disappointed with the French Quarter hotel. My husband had a serious medical condition that unexpectedly prevented us from traveling. We made the call to cancel from emergency room once we were told he could not travel/fly & missed the cancellation deadline by just 2 hours and 12 minutes, and despite explaining our situation, the hotel refused to make an exception and charged us for one night's stay, with the explanation of them mailing a 1 night certificate to be used with in the year, to have certificate in hand to present at time of use. I understand that hotels have cancellation policies, but I had hoped they would show some flexibility given the circumstances. Being just over the deadline because of a genuine medical emergency made this especially frustrating, even more so that we had a total of 6 rooms booked to meet with friends and they still received the business of the other 5 rooms. Customer service is about more than simply enforcing policies—it's also about understanding when exceptional situations arise. Unfortunate for them if we ever choose to visit SC we would never stay at this Hotel for their lack of compassion.

I am a former chef and am now a catering director at a private country club. Being extremely picky and wanting the best possible accommodations and food - we were nothing but happy with French Quarter Inn!

My wife and I stayed at the French Quarter Inn on a Monday and Tuesday evening. As our second visit to Charleston, we wanted to enjoy the Battery area history and restaurants for a couple days. French Quarter Inn was fantastic! The staff really set the stage for a memorable and rejuvenating visit. Charleston really is a unique and wonderful city, and I highly recommend the French Quarter Inn for helping us take a little of Charleston with us.
