French Quarter Inn in Charleston, South Carolina

For over a decade, the French Quarter Inn in historic Charleston, South Carolina has been indulging guests with its regal accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and superb service. A 2014 Condé Nast Traveler Platinum Circle Gold List recipient and a AAA Four-Diamond destination, the inn enjoys an envious central location in the heart of historic Charleston. With its timeless elegance, rooms - both private and public - are appointed in French urban décor coupled with Parisian blue accents and warm wood furnishings. Oversize guest rooms and suites appear even larger with expansive 14-foot ceilings. Behind guest doors are plush sanctuaries with triple-sheeted beds, recently renovated baths, and in some cases, working fireplaces and private balconies. The sound-sleep pillow menu and turndown service ensures a restful slumber.

Amenities seem almost too good to be true with complimentary champagne and lady fingers upon arrival, daily afternoon wine and cheese, fresh-baked cookies and milk in the evening, a gourmet continental breakfast served in your room or in one of the public areas, and 24-hour coffee service. Within walking distance are a number of fabulous restaurants, including the hotel's very own Tristan. With its urbane décor of hardwood floors, a whimsical banquette, and minimal appointments, Tristan offers a decidedly bold American fare menu for brunch, lunch or dinner plus an astounding 400-label wine cellar. Take a stroll along the city's cobblestone streets following your fine meal, enjoy a tour of an antebellum home, share a frothy cappuccino near the waterfront, or prowl through the shops on premises. There are also several enjoyable city tours that paint a fascinating picture of Charleston's centuries-old history.

We arrived early and doubted our room was ready but gave it a shot... not only was it ready, but upgraded. Champagne for us and candy for the kids. The staff was amazing. Jenny and Marvin were wonderful and helped us with dinner recommendations and reservations. The valet guys were great. Taylor was super friendly and my kids thought he was awesome! I feel awful for not remembering the other gentleman's name who worked valet on the 17th and 18th bc he was wonderful too. The ladies at the desk on the morning of the 19th (names escape me) were terrific. The room a double queen suite overlooked city market and was beautiful and beyond spacious. The bathroom was luxurious. The soaps and shower gels smell wonderfully, the robes were so comfy, and plenty of towels. The breakfast was perfect. Quiche, cheeses, meats, cereals, pastries, and more. The afternoon wine and cheese was exceptional and of course the homemade cookies and cold milk at 8:30 were awesome! We love this inn and would never stay anywhere else. The staff is amazing and really make a beautiful place even more special. They should all take pride in the experience they provide visitors.

Loved our experience at the French Quarter Inn. From the valet guys, to the front desk to the maid service, we had outstanding customer service. Greeted us with champagne at check in, wine and snacks in the afternoon and then again late night. They are all very friendly and helpful. Not only great customer service, but great location as well. Walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants. Can't wait to go back and visit again.

Well, we just got back from our 4th stay at this Inn. It just gets better every time. The Inn is always clean. VERY clean. The rooms, beds, pillows are super comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The evening wine and cheese reception is a nice way to relax before dinner. Being greeted by Anise's smiling face and warm conversation at the reception just makes my day. She truly loves serving the guests. This time I was fortunate enough to meet Susan, our housekeeper. What a gem. Our room was spotless and she made sure we had everything we needed for our family of 3. I could go on and on. This Inn has figured out the true meaning of Southern Hospitality. I will be back!! One more thing, we left some clothing in our room and Glori called me that afternoon and asked the best way to get our items back to us. Such service!

We had the best experience at the French Quarter Inn. The staff was great even helping me when I booked thru a third party site that lost our reservation going above and beyond to call and help straighten it out. Shout out to Jenny and Glori for their help. The hotel is the cleanest I have stayed at and the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you with any need or want. I highly recommend staying here when in Charleston!
