HarbourView Inn

A wonderful hotel in the heart of the historic district on the Cooper River . Valet parking at $42 per day. I think what we liked the most was the bed. It was very comfortable.

We stayed at the HarbourView Inn last week while visiting Charleston. This hotel is in a fabulous location for exploring the city with plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance. My husband is somewhat disabled so I asked for a handicap accessible room. The room was very well laid out - there is a desk, a small table, a small refrigerator, safe and a credenza which holds the TV. The only issue with this room (room 213) is it sits behind the elevator so the noise from that elevator (which is old) is constant. There is no view from this room either. I am not sure if this is the only handicap accessible room they have but I would definitely ask them about this. Breakfast is included and you can have it served to you either in your room, in the common area, or on the rooftop (weather permitting). It was really cold while we were there so we did not go up on the rooftop but I am sure it is a lovely experience. They also have wine/cheese at 5:00 p.m. every day and cookies/milk at 9:00 p.m. every night. Aside from the many amenities this hotel offers what truly makes this hotel so special is the employees. Everyone we engaged with was helpful, professional and extremely friendly. Can’t wait to go back and I would highly recommend staying there.

Ideally located, nice rooms, very helpful staff. The perfect spot to explore Charleston. Rooms facing harbour obviously the best.

This hotel exceeded our expectations on all levels. We spent 2 nights at HarbourView Inn, but then returned again for one night because we could not fly back to our city due to the winter storm cancellations. The hotel itself is located on a lovely street and its rooftop has amazing views of the river and the harbor. We chose to have breakfast on the rooftop- fun. The afternoon wine and cheese is a nice perk, coffee, tea, water and fruits are available throughout the day- all of this really adds to the whole experience of being so well taken care of at this hotel. The hotel is very clean, beds are comfortable, the rooms have quality amenities. We wanted to thank and acknowledge great people who work at this hotel- Douglas, Julie, and everyone else who went far and beyond to accommodate us and help. This was truly outstanding and so much appreciated. We highly recommend this hotel to travelers who plan to visit Charleston.

AMAZING!! Definitely will stay here again and again!! Probably every time I come back to Charleston I will ONLY stay at this beautiful hotel because they have the BEST Service!!! The most friendly, sweet, helpful staff and the most beautiful rooms. The complimentary breakfast delivered to our room was incredible. The wine & cheese at 5pm and cookies and milk at 9pm and candy and water in lobby were the BEST!! But I can't say enough about the service. Everyone who works there is incredible!!!
