HarbourView Inn in Charleston, South Carolina

Situated in one of America's most enticing cities and surrounded by volumes of history, the HarbourView Inn overlooks the bustling waterfront of Charleston, South Carolina. Boasting AAA Four-Diamond status and a Gold List award from the editors of Condé Nast Traveler, guests of this enchanting retreat can bask in the glorious appointments that recall the city's early years as a nautical trading hub with the Caribbean colonies. Rooms are a mix of Old-World wonders and haute appointments with fine antiques positioned beneath plasma-screen televisions. Hunker down in a room with arched windows and exposed brick walls or request a penthouse chamber with working fireplace, a mini bar stocked with complimentary refreshments, and a Juliette-style balcony overlooking the harbor.

Southern hospitality is contagious within the inn's confines. Amenities include complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon followed by fresh-baked cookies and milk in the evenings. Added conveniences such as their silver service breakfast - delivered to your room, on the rooftop terrace or presented in the magnificent atrium lobby - are to be expected. It is likely you will want to explore the genteel cobblestone streets of Charleston, the city where Rhett Butler and Scarlet O'Hara honeymooned. The inn even offers complimentary historic walking tours, but you may not need a guide at all. Located within walking distance to Waterfront Park, the famous city market, several wonderful restaurants, a bevy of boutiques and antique row, the HarbourView Inn allows guests to explore with ease. As for those storybook antebellum homes, they too are plentiful, and many are open for the public to tour.

native of Charleston told me that we had to stay at Harbour View Inn when I was visiting Charleston. WOW, was she so spot on correct. What an absolute pleasure it was. Hunter, Mac ALL of the staff could not have treated us more like Royalty! Harbour View has the best location and is within walking distance of All the old city. Our Car only left the garage when visiting Sullivan's Island and IOP. We will surely be returning soon and most definitely be staying at Harbour View Inn. Wine and cheese complimentary at 5:00 and roof top bar after. Loved it completely

We stayed here recently and had a great time! The location is perfect and within walking distance to so many highlights. The rooftop bar was nice for breakfast. Breakfasts were good and offered several options. The wine reception every day was nice as was the cookie and milk treat at night. The view from our room was great and looked directly at the water. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant. We also really appreciated the bottle of prosecco to kick off my husband's birthday weekend! Highly recommended!

Our family of 5 stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. Valet, check in, concierge, room service, roof top bar service, size and cleanliness of room were impeccable. We will be visiting Charleston again and Harbourview will be our choice Hotel. Thank you for making our stay so easy and enjoyable.

We stayed at the Harbourview Inn for the first time while in town for a wedding last weekend and we loved everything about it. The location is perfect, walking distance to great restaurants etc. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and capable with can-do attitudes! The valet did a great job keeping our electric car charged and provided us with great bikes the hotel offers to their guests to bike around Charleston. For breakfast you have a choice to order it the night before to get it delivered to your room or for it to be brought up to their nice rooftop terrace, which we did. Such a nice way to start the day! The rooms are large and airy with nice carpet and nice double beds. We did have to ask ahead of time for 100% cotton sheets, which they provided for us without a problem. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Charleston!

Our experience started with a phone call from the hotel a week before our arrival. They asked if we need any special accommodations, transportation, restaurant reservations, etc. We were very impressed with the level of service. Once we arrived it only got better. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and welcoming. The best part about this place is the people. We have never stayed at a place that had every staff member totally focused on pleasing their guests. From our initial check in to the valet that brought our car out when we departed after a week, every interaction with a team member was top notch, professional, polite and genuinely friendly. The team here is sincere in their desire to make sure your stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. We will make this place the only hotel we stay at when visiting low country
