HarbourView Inn

OUTSTANDING! The location is perfect. Right across the street from Waterfront Park where the fountain, the pier, and a covered area with swings as well as other sitting areas are located. The Water-taxi is at end of the pier area. Shopping and restaurants are all around. We were able to see the fish jumping out of the water and dolphins, right from out room balcony. CHECKIN: I called the day of to see if we could get an early check in. Front desk had no issue with that. We checked in at 1130 am. So early, but there were no problems and no attitudes. How lovely was that! ROOM: (Deluxe King Balcony) Clean and well decorated. Large in size with plenty of room. Small refrigerator and security box. Good size tv present. A desk on one side of the bed. A sitting chair, as well as a small round table with 2 chairs, perfect for breakfast and reading the newspaper, which they will deliver to your room with breakfast if you prefer. FREE STAFF: All staff are friendly and inviting. AMENITIES ON SITE: Free bottled water, as well as, other refreshments, such as coffees, creams, to milk and cookies, to M&Ms and Skittles. All day. Every day. How perfect! PARKING: Valet parking on site. Public parking garage at opposite end of block. BREAKFAST: Breakfast was great as well. You check off the items you want on a card and leave it outside your room door knob. They delivered it each morning at the time we selected. First with a phone call to let you know they are on the way, then a knock at the door. You even have options to where you wanted to have breakfast (rooftop terrace, in your room, etc.) Oh, btw, whatever you get for breakfast, make sure to try the Cinnamon roll! Delicious! NOTE: A new hotel has been built right across the street at the harbor. Noise from the workers and street traffic (trash pickup to the free shuttle buses) from the open balcony is present, but no fault to Harbourview Inn. With the balcony doors closed, minimal noise is present.

We had a great stay at Harbourview for a long weekend while attending a wedding. Being a smaller hotel, it felt personal, the staff knew our names and genuinely cared about making our stay in Charleston exceptional. After checking out, I realized I had accidentally left a pair of diamond earrings in our room. I called the next day, and within a couple of days, the hotel reached out to let me know the cleaning staff had found them, placed them in a labeled envelope, and arranged to have them overnighted to me. I was absolutely amazed (in the best way!) by their honesty and care. I truly can’t say enough good things about the staff and our overall experience.

This property was not only beautiful, it was the perfect stay. The personnel from housekeeping, room service, the bellman, and the front desk staff, went above and beyond to be kind and courteous. ln a time when this is no longer the norm, I looked forward to seeing them every day. We loved the complimentary water and breakfast. The extras to include cookies, water/lemonade, fruit, and coffee in the common area made our stay just perfect! When visiting Charleston again, this will be our first choice of stays!

Harbourview is perfectly located in the historic district of Chsrleston right next to the beautiful Joe Riley Park with a view of the bay. It is in walking distance of dozens of nice restaurants and tours as well as the water taxi ($17 boat ride to aquarium. Yorktown aircraft carrier...). (No need to rent a car). Harbourview offers free breakfast deliveted to your room, free wine and cheese some evenings, milk and cookies at 9 in the evening, and best of all peanut M &Ms (yummy!). Staff is very friendly. attentive. and rooms are spotless. We spent 4 days there and had a wonderful time.

Outstanding hotel & staff! The Inn is in a great location, right on the waterfront, and within walking distance of fantastic restaurants and historic sites. Justin (valet) and Jonathan (front desk) were exceptional!!!
