Initially greeted by The Bellman, Eric. Eric was great. He asked us about what we wanted to do, and immediately got us discount coupons. We were given a $25 gift certificate to use in the restaurant any we we wished. The concierge, was terrific. She got us dinner reservations, and discount coupons for a wonderful restaurant for breakfast. She also set up on line our reservation for the visit to Fort Sumter. The hotel itself is centrally located, and within walking distance to everything.

We spent a long weekend in Charleston. Our stay at The Vendue was outstanding:great spacious room, modern bathroom, location is great (walking distance to Charleston’s things to do) The staff is very friendly. We enjoyed the art exhibit as well. We’ll definitely go back.

The room wasn’t ready on time. They finally got us a room which was nice though. I would have appreciated a disposable shower cap, most places have them. When we called the front desk to ask for one, they said they’d send one up but never did The art is fun! The hotter could use some refreshing such as new carpeting. Lovely otherwise. Friendly staff although somewhat incompetent by NY standards. But pleasant.

We stayed one night for our anniversary and this was a great pick. The room, which was in the Vendue Range section, was lovely with old wooden floors and beams and a nice gas fireplace. It was very comfortable and the complimentary water bottles, beenie wafers and sherry were a nice touch. The sherry decanter added a touch of elegance. The bartender in their Drawing Room restaurant was one of the best in town! Also, the art was everywhere and it was wonderful. We will be back!
