The Vendue

We enjoyed our stay at the Vendue so much! It was our anniversary so we decided to spend a little more and treat ourselves to an upscale hotel. OMG! The Vendue is THE place! 1st: The location: It is right in the middle of the historic French Quarter of Charleston and a block from the river front. Surrounded by shops, fantastic restaurants, in particular, the in-house Revival restaurant, and many historic places within walking distance. 2nd: The Vendue: It is filled with artwork. The rooms are expertly decorated, warm, and comfortable and classy. 3rd: The Staff: They are the reason the Vendue is worth every penny. They are a kind and giving group of people that work well together and go all out for their guests. Every one of them was polite and eager to make our stay the very best. We had such a great experience at the Vendue and would give it an excellent rating!

This is not a typical Charleston hotel experience in that this property is very modern and a bit garish - does not fit the mold of Southern refinement. To its credit, the Vendue gave us a delightful experience due to kind, enthusiastic staff, unbeatable location, and extra touches - 2 evening receptions and nice breakfast boxes. The ceiling fans in the rooms are EVERYTHING on a steamy Southern day! We valeted the car for 24 hrs. and walked no more than 10 minutes to all of our favorite spots. Shout out to Ellen who ensured our comfort in the lobby prior to check-in.

I can not express in words the wonderful experience my mom and I had at the Vendue. Juan the valet and Sarah the GEM. treated us with respect and kindness. We felt like family and not a burden. Every time we entered or ledt the lobby any worker had a smile and a kind word. This hotel is a delight for any traveler. Thank you so much for all the love and kindness. We will be back.and I will recommend to all my friends.

The Vedue was so fun. The art was outstanding. The service amazing. I can’t say any more about it. I highly recommend it!

Arriving at Charleston after a stressful drive, we were greeted by Juan our Valet. Juan was so calming and completely organized at both check in and departure. Each day he greeted us with a warm, friendly smile and sincere conversation. There is definitely a reason he is the hotel's "front man!" The hotel decor is very unique and upbeat. The daily art review and complimentary wine sipping hour gave us an opportunity to relax and unwind after a full days of museum tours, sight seeing, and shopping. The late night freshly baked cookies with cold milk were an added bonus. Thank you for a wonderful visit.
