My husband planned a birthday trip to Charleston and we stayed at the Vendue Hotel. The hotel was super trendy with this artsy vibe. The lobby had a nice scent. It was fun coming into the lobby checking out new art pieces every time. The rooms were huge and the service was amazing. I like the fireplace in the hotel rooms. It gives it some warmth. Also the bathroom was huge with double shower heads, always a nice treat. Juan was so accommodating and gave us great tips on biking around Charleston (the hotel has free bike rentals). The location was amazing. It was walking distance to the City Market, King Street, the water, and all these amazing restaurants. We were able to really get our steps in but be careful because the cobblestone streets can be trip hazards. There is no gym or pool at the hotel. However, it did not appear on any of the maps haunted hotel lists. Highly recommend staying here!

When I walked into our room at the Enclave at the Vendue Hotel in Charleston, I was sure our stay would be as lovely as the room. WRONG! The room phone was never fixed after the front desk was informed of the problem; the large palmetto bug under a towel in the bathroom was removed but no one bothered to clean up the obvious smear left on the floor from when it was killed; the valet service was extremely inconvenient since the link for retrieving your car seemed to communicate with no one; a promised voucher arrived in the mail with an expired expiration date that made it worthless and when this was pointed out, there was no replacement...the list could go on. I advise you not to stay at the Enclave at the Vendue.

A wonderful place to stay! Excellent service, professional staff and a beautiful hotel. It is perfectly situated with no need for a car as the harbor, historic sites in the French Quarter and the restaurants are all steps away. The only minor disappointment was the breakfast: rolls and two pieces of fruit. The art work is bright and capturing.

We’ve done a lot of traveling recently and this was honestly the best I have slept in a hotel in years. Comfy bed and pillows, quiet AC and ceiling fan, no street noise even though you are in the heart of everything. Loved the welcome refresher, the rooftop bar was such a convenient “go to” local. The in room coffee, the mini breakfast that was waiting outside your door every morning and the evening cookies were all special touches that put this stay at the top of our list. The art exhibits were fun. Walkable to EVERYTHING that you want to do in Charleston. Can’t wait to come back !

My sister and I visited Charleston together and enjoyed our stay at the Vendue. The service was great especially from Juan who unloaded our car and took our luggage to our rooms. We were on a road trip and had more luggage than if we had flown as well as a cooler and a wine carrier. Juan also helped us reload the car and wouldn't let us help with anything! Nicholas reached out before the trip about dinner reservations. We had wonderful dinners in Charleston but Revival was by far the best and Victor was a wonderful server and wine sommelier who we enjoyed talking with.
