We really enjoyed our stay at the Vendue this past week. It was our first time and would definitely consider coming back due to the Hotel's location, friendly staff, and charming decor. We thought the staff was very friendly - from the lady giving us directions over the phone from the airport, to the onsite staff. No problems with our check-in and we appreciated the smiles and greetings we received from the check in area to the bellmen/valets. We love this location. So easy to walk to nearby sites including the waterfront, a bookstore, restaurants, the charming downtown market, and the little shops. I have to compliment the food and staff in the Drawing Room. Although we had plans to go to a list of restaurants around town, one rainy day kept us mostly inside so we enjoyed a delicious breakfast - Crab Benedict - and later a delicious dinner at the Hotel with a talented Jazz duo performing while we ate. We would go back to the Drawing Room again! The wait staff was friendly and helpful regarding the menu. I LOVED the fact that at a table next to us, another couple was having a deep conversation and their waiter stopped by and said "pardon my interruption..." THAT is good customer service. I can't stand when waiters just barge in and rudely interrupt your table to ask a question without even an "excuse me". On another note, if I had to give any negative, I would advise travelers to make sure they ask for a room away from where the trash trucks collect from the street very early in the morning. It is loud and will wake you. I'm glad I brought earplugs. When we go back, we will request another room location. We will come back!

The Vendue is a beautiful Hotel with an impressive Art display. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Their rooftop bar is great for watching sunsets and their breakfast offerings are delish, especially their eggs benedicts. Central location to everything worth visiting in Charleston.

We spent three nights at the Vendue and really enjoyed the rooms, service, and the art exhibition Cats versus Dogs. Didn't manage to see the artist in residence but liked the offer with wine and canapés each day. Rooms are beautifully decorated and well supplied. I would have liked to be able to make hot drinks in the room but that is my only gripe. The location is great to walk everywhere and particularly the waterfront pier and park where the dolphins are plentiful. Charleston is a real gem of a place and I look forward to visiting again.

My family went to this hotel to celebrate my mother's 85th birthday and mine as well. We were greeted with champagne on ice and birthday wishes when we checked in. I also received a room upgrade to a large room with a fireplace that was just beautiful. The service and staff were top notch. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. We had a great time at the rooftop bar watching the sun set over the city. The hotel was close to everything including the riverfront. We especially enjoyed the complimentary bikes and went on a nice long ride to see the south side of Charleston. I would recommend this hotel 100%.

This hotel is the best! We went over nite to celebrate my husbands birthday and everything was perfect. Great room, fabulous food and outstanding service. Our room even had a working fireplace. Then they delivered a bottle of champagne, the piece de resistance
