We booked two inside Queen rooms for a Monday-Wednesday stay. We felt like we were on a little vacation on our walks back and forth to our conference. The rooms were great and super clean and comfortable. Neither of us missed windows and it was cozy and good for catching a few hours of sleep. Staff was very nice and ready to help. The art added a cool vibe to the trip and we enjoyed breaks by wandering the halls to check it all out. The rooftop bar is a great place to close the evening. I would stay here again, close to everything in Charleston and a perfect starting place for your trip.

This was our 4th stay at the Vendue in 2 years. We consider staying at other lovely hotels in Charleston, but this hotel is so unique, we always return. Stayed in a Premier King room in 26 this time because we had LOTS of extra items for our daughters destination wedding. Mark , Ryan and Edward were so pleasant moving an entire SUV load into ( and out of) our room. There was plenty of space to hang and spread out her wedding dress too. All our guests got together on the Rooftop even if they were staying elsewhere. It was like my " command center"! Just love this location. You can walk everywhere. The staff is so friendly. Can't wait to return!

At $400+/night mid-week for a hotel I'd say "disappointing" is a massive understatement. The rooms are dingy and dirty. A colleague of mine staying at the same hotel said, "did they forget to vacuum the floors"? My $400+/night room had stained and dirty floors and the hot water took 10 full minutes to come on. The white trim and doors looked like they hadn't been painted in years. I used to work for a five star hotel and would have been embarrassed to show this room to guest regardless of how much they were paying. The bar staff were also horrible. The rooftop bar was nice but I sat down with my guests and despite the fact that there were 3 bar tenders and an almost empty bar I still had to waive to get them to serve us. I have no idea why this hotel is so highly rated. Stay elsewhere...

We stayed at the Vendue for the 1st 4 days of our week long trip to Charleston. People could not have been friendlier and more helpful. We were disappointed by our room because it was so small. It was cute, and would have been fine for a night or 2. When approached by one of the managers the 2nd day inquiring about our stay and mentioned we loved, but were not happy with size of room. She immediately took us to another room to see if we liked it better. It was larger and nicer. They very happily moved us. Can not say enough about the service. Edward greets you and makes you feel like family. The Drawing Room has an excellent bar (loved Brittany), and great food. All in all would certainly consider staying again. Nice birthday get away.

The hotel was great. Terrific location, rooms are wonderful. Roof top bar is really terrific. Warm cookies in the lobby at 9pm. People are great. If you are an art lover this is a 6! There are real, authentic artist based in the hotel and artwork throughout. We chose the location and the rooftop bar for the view.
