We stumbled upon this hotel on an app and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the milk and cookies they served at night. If you stay here I recommend going to the cocktail hour in the art gallery. They served us complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres. Both of which were delicious. The hotel restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. It was one of the our favorites on our visit and the desserts were out of this world! We also really liked that they had complimentary bikes that you could take and ride around the city with! We'll definitely be coming back!

My son who's in Law School in Charleston took my wife and I here for a late lunch and afternoon cocktails. We got lucky and got a table up top... Fantastic venue and atmosphere. View was amazing... and it didn't hurt we had fantastic weather. Food was very good as well. Well worth your time!

I absolutely loved the Vendue Hotel. First, the location in the French Quarter was perfect for our visit to Charleston. In fact, we parked our car and walked everywhere all weekend. We also loved walking along the water which was right down the street from our hotel. This Vendue was not cheap. However, I discovered there really aren't any budget friendly hotels in Charleston where I would want to stay. This hotel was small....three small buildings on the same street. We were in the building across from the main building where you checked in and the restaurant and roof top bar are located. We did not mind being in this building as it was extremely quiet and they have an art reception there every evening from 4-5 with wine and appetizers. The art is fabulous and the food and wine was not bad either. I love art and it is plentiful in this hotel. I tried to view all of the art during my stay. It was a beautiful afternoon when we arrived so we went to the rooftop bar which had lovely views of the water and also the beautiful buildings of Charleston. I highly encourage everyone to take advantage of the bar. We also found all of the staff in the hotel friendly and helpful. It will be my hotel when I go to Charleston again. Finally, our room was furnished with lovely antiques and original art. I loved the exposed brick walls, hardwood floors and a working fireplace in our room.

We stayed here over Charleston Wine + Food weekend, March 2-5. I absolutely LOVE the location, it's right near the water and the market. Really close to outstanding bars & restaurants (Paw Paw, Magnolias, The Gin Joint, the bakeshop, Kaminsky's, Savannah candy co) and right at the end of the street towards water is a gelato place and famous Pineapple fountain. Definitely take a walk around that park!! Location 5 stars. The hotel is really quaint and charming. Check-in was a breeze, the valet park and bell man was cool. We had a some sort of king room. My issue was that the room we stayed in was close to the parking lot and dumpster so we heard garbage trucks like clockwork every morning around 7am. I'm not a particularly light sleeper but it woke me every single morning, even Sunday. oh well, next time I'd definitely ask for a diff room on opposite side of hotel. Cute how they give you an actual key-key rather than a card. Decor was nice and different, bed was comfortable & room was large. Bathroom was spacious & nice, no issues. The only other not-so-great was the smell of the elevator and hallways, kinda musty. The Vendue can't do anything about that, the hotel is old, just something to expect if you do stay here. Overall, I would absolutely 100% stay here again... looking forward to it actually.

Our room was very comfortable and cozy. The staff was helpful and always available to answer any questions, or to give us good suggestions on places to eat and sites to see. The hotel location was perfect; we did lots of walking checking out Charleston's beautiful city! We enjoyed the Rooftop Bar experience; very friendly staff. We had a very nice chat with one of the servers; very informative on the area.
