This is a top notch hotel, where we encountered amazing, professional and very friendly staff. Our room was perfect...quiet, clean and comfortable. The three restaurants are all amazing. Our favorite dinner was in The Drawing particular, we enjoyed the dish Low Country Pirlou (shrimp, lobster, crab, grouper, rice and aioli nero). We encountered one problem during our stay, which was quickly and professionally resolved by the manager. Highly recommend

I don't know where to begin. I am a very well traveled person and I found the Vendue to be one of the best small hotels. From the moment we pulled up at the wrong door (The hotel is on a corner and both sides of street so it is hard to see where check in is located) two staff members ran down street to get car. We promptly check in and were handed champagne. The hotel is beautiful with lots of artwork to look at. We loved the little in room touches such as a bottle of brandy and pecan cookies. We headed right up to the rooftop bar which is very spacious and relaxing. The bartender was great and again all friendly staff. Dinner in the drawing room was excellent and Christopher our waiter went over the top for us. He was knowledgeable about the menu and had a great personality. Robert at the main bar is a very skilled mixologist and very attentive. In the morning you can get free Starbucks coffee at The Press which is attached. 4 P.M. wine tasting was a nice touch. Our package included free breakfast, dinner credit, 2 free drinks. Housekeeping and bell staff were also amazing. Super friendly. Gave us places to see and go with directions. We did not want to leave. Our bags were loaded in and we were asked if we wanted water, tea, coffee to go for our long ride. Amazing!!

My stay at the Vendue was exceptional. The location was perfect. The hotel was cool and immaculate. But the best part of the Vendue was the staff...without exception every staff member I met was helpful and friendly. I have never been treated better at any hotel. The rooftop bar and evening cookies and milk made the experience better. I will definitely recommend the Vendue to friends, and hope to come back and visit myself!

Loud building with equipment vibrations audible, frayed carpeting, older property rated high on Trip Adviser but not in person. Sold out on dates of my stay, no cancellation with reservation policy so I was stuck with second class accommodations. Good location, good service, great art and food. Lastly, young children everywhere - perfect for families - but uninteresting and disruptive to me.

I've stayed at many hotels in Charleston over the years, now my search has ended. The Vendue is now my home in Charleston. From the moment we walked in to the time we left, we felt pampered and relaxed. The quality of the staff equals or exceeds the quality of the rooms and amenities. The bell staff was exceedingly helpful, as well as the reception. The rooms were unique, luxurious and up to date. Next time you are in Charleston, do yourself a favor and add an extra day just to enjoy the Vendue and all it has to offer.
