This was my first stay at The Vendue. It is a charming hotel and we spent a lot of time in each of the buildings looking at the art. The rooms are on the small side but the bathrooms are big. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not - way too soft for our taste. I was surprised that all 4 pillows were the same - usually there are 2 soft and 2 hard, but not in our room. I did use the valet because it was easier - parking in Charleston is always a challenge. The free WiFi kept cutting out in the room, and the view was meh, but we didn't stay in the room very long. The hotel offered free wine and appetizers every afternoon and free cookies and milk every evening. The staff was very attentive and courteous. We enjoyed our stay here.

We were in Charleston for a day. Found The Vendue online, it had great reviews, so we booked it. We were not prepared for how lovely the hotel is. We drove up, and a very nice man greeted us, found our name on his register, explained parking options, and took us inside for check-in. No line at a big counter. We sat with a gentleman at a desk, and he checked us in. Then the original gentleman took us and our bags to the bar, where he got us champagne, and took us to our room while telling us all about the hotel. This is an art hotel, with beautiful, interesting art throughout. There are two buildings, and they are like museums. There is a docent who will provide an art tour, but we took our own tour. Amazing. Our room was comfy and clean, and had a nice bathroom with wonderful shower. Complimentary sherry in the room as well! The hotel was conveniently located, within walking distance of the Marketplace, restaurants and shopping. The hotel has some nice restaurants, with nightly live music, which we did not have the opportunity to enjoy. All in all, this is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Iffy on the bartenders, but the space on the roof of the Vendue is really cool (both literally, because of the breeze, and figuratively, for the space). The drinks are good as well - we had a few glasses of sparkling rose one night, and enjoyed hanging out. Come early to avoid lines for the elevator, and check out the art in the lobby. Cool space :)

The hotel was very nice. The staff welcoming and made sure the stay was good. The art in the hotel was very neat. Just a block from the water front which was nice and minutes from market Street. I recommend doing a water tour.

This is a top notch hotel, where we encountered amazing, professional and very friendly staff. Our room was perfect...quiet, clean and comfortable. The three restaurants are all amazing. Our favorite dinner was in The Drawing particular, we enjoyed the dish Low Country Pirlou (shrimp, lobster, crab, grouper, rice and aioli nero). We encountered one problem during our stay, which was quickly and professionally resolved by the manager. Highly recommend
