The Vendue is a true art experience. The lobby is filled with amazing art. There was an art opening for Cats and Dogs this evening. The hotel has fantastic people working at the front. This hotel is in the heart of the Historic District with many tourists attractions in walking distance. There is also a rooftop bar and a bar on the first floor. I was very happy with this visit.

Top notch service was experienced from beginning to end of our stay. Nicely appointed room with a bed that was as comfortable as could be. Complimentary champagne upon arrival and bottle of sherry in our room. Staff was very courteous and attended to our every need. The dinning, bar and art throughout was delightful. Close to everything you would need to see in Charleston. We definitely will return here on our next visit. .

The wonderful staff here reflects a very well managed hotel, it operates smoothly and elegantly, just like Charleston itself. Our group of friends enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay and look forward to our next visit. As soon as you pull up to the hotel the greeting is warm and welcoming, Cameron, Edward and the entire bell staff were excellent-charming and professional. The welcome glass of champagne is a nice touch, as was the nightly wine gathering with some really top- notch food--a nice surprise since it's usually just cheese at these things. The housekeeping service was excellent too. Again, professional and thorough. The only downside was the first room we were given. Room 258 had bleach stained carpet and no windows. It was down a maze of corridors and felt claustrophobic. We considered it for about a minute, switched, paid for an upgrade and moved. The staff was super helpful in getting us to a new room. Wasn't a problem. As other reviewers have said, the location is perfect. We took the bikes and explored the city. It’s worth a drive to Lewis BBQ. Really wonderful smoked brisket and pulled pork. Also had a great lunch at Husk. Nothing quite like this city. Go now! And stay here.

If you want to stay in the very heart of things in the French Quarter, this is the hotel for you. Even though this is an old property (converted warehouse like so many buildings on the old wharf area), the rooms are delightfully large. The service we received on check in was outstanding. We were given a tour of the amenities, with special attention to the amazing art on display, and taken personally to our rooms by the staff person. He also, when asked, gave us recommendations for places to dine and things to do. We were very impressed. I must say the service levels continued at this high bar throughout our stay. Sometimes service is stellar upon checking in, then fades away, but not here. All of the staff are so accommodating. The restaurant and bar area are delightful. Being within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do was a real plus. Oh, and quiet. We appreciate quiet hotels. No disturbances here.

My husband, brother, and I traveled to Charleston for a week vacation; staying at the Vendue. My husband and I are huge travelers both national and international. This was one of the best experiences we have EVER had at a hotel. Location- You couldn't find a more perfect location than where the vendue is located. Right off the water in the historical district surrounded by all Charleston's top restaurants, popular landmarks, and amazing shopping. You are a short walking distance from almost all of the "must-see" places. Ambiance- It's an art hotel and its incredible. No two rooms are the same. The art is mesmerizing. The rooms are beautiful, unique, and comfortable. Truffles on your pillow, sherry night caps in your room, milk and cookies in the couldn't ask for anything more perfect. Their rooftop restaurant has views for days, and the drawing room has an amazing bar/menu. Staff- When we arrived, we were immediately greeted with champagne and a friendly front desk. Erik Zanghirella welcomed us as we were checking in then gave us a tour of the hotel. We got to see places we likely wouldn't of ventured to and got a little insight on the history of this beautiful location. He was so professional and welcoming; even recommending restaurants and things to do in the area. And this was all within the first 20 minutes of arriving! We valeted our car and got to know the valet guys during our time there. They were always asking us how our day went. Super friendly. Overall- This is the place to stay if you are visiting Charleston. Every part of our experience here was phenomenal. Where one stays often impacts the overall satisfactory of a trip. The vendue offers such an elevated level of ambiance and service in the heart of a premium location that you literally could not ask for more.
