The Vendue

Great weekend at the Vendue! We were so pleased with the staff and service. Exceeded our expectations. Lovely room and amenities. And breakfast at your door each morning is a delight! Great valet service. Concierge very helpful with reservations for dinner. Location is optimal, but definitely loved the room and the vibe!

We stayed in the Enclave portion of the hotel. Staff was terrific, especially Sarah , Harvey & Nicholas. Really love the decor. Terrific location. No bar in this building, even though sparking wine was there for the asking & sherry provided at night. Rather scratchy bath towels. Can’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel that didn’t have a “smart tv” in the rooms., ill be sure to look for that next time. They play music all day in the public areas areas (rather loudly) & say it is their “ambience” and can’t turn it down ( except at night). That said, they lent me a sound machine which I found so very responsive. Citrus water in lobby all day and coffee service in the mornings plus keurig in room. The bathroom storage is lacking ( old building) & the water pressure is low. Hence my 3-star review. Ups & downs.

We just left this morning after a wonderful three night stay. The hotel was lovely and the staff fantastic! They went out of their way to make our anniversary trip special. We would like to especially thank Sarah M., Nicholas, and Dylan. This was. Our first trip to Charleston and we will definitely return. There is so question where we will stay: The Vendue! Thank you again for a fantastic experience!

The traveler centric approach really shines through making for a lovely visit. A great location, engaged staff, easy valet and check in. A light European breakfast delivered to your door, Champagne at check in, cookies for evening, and a sweet treat at turn down. The bed was also dressed in a European style and comfortable, so we also slept well. This is an Art venue. We stayed at the Enclave…which we enjoyed. We have stayed several times over the years…and other places as well. For all the reasons I mentioned, we would choose the Vendue again. They do play music in all the common areas. We were on the 2nd floor, and given the acoustics of the building, we could hear it in our room. It wasn’t awful, but we would rather not hear lobby music in our room. Our friends were on the first floor snd it was not as noticeable.

Amazing hotel with a great staff. Very relaxing and first class accommodations. Close to everything you want to see in Charleston.
