Reviews for Deerhill Inn
We have been coming to Southern Vermont for over ten years every summer to enjoy the chamber music at the Marlboro Chamber Music Festival. We found the Deerhill Inn a few years ago when looking for an inn with a pool since Vermont surprised us with some very hot weather. Ariane and Scott and their dog, Sophie are so warm and welcoming and have gone out of their way to be accommodating for our various post-surgery issues. I would also recommend having a delicious dinner at the inn and enjoying a walk on the wonderful path in West Dover to fully appreciate the mountain views.

Our stay at the Deerhill Inn was wonderful. The Innkeepers, Scott and Ariane, are welcoming people who made us feel right at-home the moment we set foot in the door. Since I was there to do some early morning golfing nearby, Scott made sure that I received a full breakfast before venturing out despite it being earlier than their posted breakfast time. I never left there hungry! The inn is tastefully decorated, making it feel like a warm place that you've visited before. Our room was cozy, clean and comfortable. It was just right for two people that planned to be on the go, golfing and exploring. When we wanted to socialize with other guests, we could do it in one of the two sitting rooms. We look forward to returning to the Deerhill Inn on a future visit to Vermont.

The owners Ariana and Scott were very friendly and inviting. The inn from what I was told was a farm house about 60 years ago and it has that modern day feel to it. There are many rooms to just sit and relax besides your room. Our room had a small deck in the backyard. I just wish the weather was better to enjoy it. We had dinner there and the food was excellent. The breakfast was outstanding. Made to order breakfast with three hot choices. Would love to go back in the fall since there is a view of the mountains.

This attractive Inn can be found slightly off the main road but yet make you feel miles away where there is peace and tranquility. As we entered the Inn we were greeted with a pleasant aroma of lilacs and there is a large stone fireplace in the lobby area. The Inn keepers and owners Scott and Arianne are very friendly and make you feel at home the moment you arrive. They have many public rooms where you can sit and relax. Hundreds of books can be found for those who enjoy reading, magazines, board games, puzzles and many DVD's to chose from. There is another fireplace in the dining area and one in a sitting room. They have tea and coffee available most of the day in the dining area. They offer a free full breakfast every morning and offer dinner some nights which is also available to the public, the food is delicious and well worth the visit. They have many different rooms to stay in, each with their own name and theme. We stayed in the White Pine Suite which was on the 3rd floor, very charming room with King size bed, fireplace, TV and sitting area. The room was cozy and the bed comfortable, it was warm in the room even with the windows open and the ceiling fan on, so we used the portable a/c unit in the room which made for a comfortable night. The room did have a private bathroom, my husband who is 6'2" found the shower a little challenging as it's not as tall as him but he managed. When you arrive in the room you are left with 2 bottles of complimentary water and 3 homemade cookies, a nice treat after a long drive. This is our second stay here but in a different room and we will definitely be back to enjoy another peaceful getaway!

Ariane and Scott are the most welcoming couple, attended to our every need or wish, and made their enchanting beautiful house much more than just another inn. I would prefer this place to any other! Loved the place and the people, a great place to be snowed in, or as a home away from home near Mount Snow!
