What can I say about villa mangiacane. A true gem. We visited in April of this year when I proposed to my now fiancé. In the lead up, the reception team couldn’t do enough to help plan including switching rooms to allow us to stay in the beautiful terrace suite with large windows providing panoramic views over the Tuscan countryside and vineyards. The terrace itself just off our room was light airy and had even better views including Florence in the distance. The lights at night were stunning. The food; delicious! The head chef who was clearly passionate about his food, came out to chat to us on our first evening and talked us through his menu. The staff were friendly and helpful every night. The wine, also delicious. We booked the wine tour during our stay and were able to sample a few of mangiacane’s wines. We fully intend to have a selection shipped back to the UK in the near future. We had a truly unforgettable stay, from the beautiful villa and surroundings to the food and wine. Everything was faultless. But I have to say a special thank you to all the staff, they were all evidently aware that I was planning to propose and so really did go above and beyond to ensure it went smoothly.

A beautiful villa with beautiful rooms. A superior room offered a beautiful big and like Roman bathroom. The service was nice, maybe not 5 star but still very nice and pleasant and in this villa atmosphere you don't really miss it. Reception staff is very helpful and very kind. Maybe I wouldn't really recommend to dine there, the service and quality of dishes wasn't excellent and quiet expensive. Make sure that you know the gate code to come in back in the evening, not always the staff hears the bell ringing.

I felt in love with this magical place. The villa is beautiful and the view is breathtaking! I dined at their restaurant and food was delicious. The villa is located only 25 mins south of Florence and just a few mins away from the Chianti wine road.

Even while we made a booking error, we got great help, support and a friendly smile!! The rooms are beautiful (amazing!!!) and the views as well, the entrance itself was a little bit less than expected due to their fabulous website pics. We highly recommend this hotel!
