My (now) fiancee & I had an incredible stay at the Farmhouse Inn. I chose the hotel as a romantic getaway to get engaged - the team at the hotel was extremely accommodating to my plans and helped make the weekend very special - they gave us a beautiful room (nice balance of very tasteful rustic / modern wine country style) and provided a special turn-down service. I especially appreciated the flexibility / sensitivity of the team - I made a no-cancellation reservation, but when the surprise proposal didn't go according to plan and I had to cancel a night, the team waived the usual penalty. That level of service & care is very rare and always appreciated. We also had dinner at the restaurant which was one of the best meals I've had in the bay area. Incredible service, phenomenal food, and a beautiful setting. We'll be coming back here for years to come!

I can't praise Terry and the Farmhouse Inn enough for making our elopement so very easy and beautiful. We knew that we wanted to sneak away alone and not worry about the details of wedding planning, but we still wanted an elegant ceremony and a terrific meal. We live in the region, and explored a number of Napa/Sonoma hotels offering elopement packages. This was not the least expensive option, but we agree that every extra cent was well spent. The fact that the inn hosts only one tiny wedding at a time meant that we had the undisturbed attention of the staff and felt very special. The planning couldn't have been simpler. Terry contacted me about my thoughts on flowers (bright, happy, reds, yellows, oranges), cake flavor choice, and preferred times for massages (included) and dinner (also included-with wine pairing). Our officiant contacted me and offered a lovely non-denominational script that I could use as little or as much of as I wanted. Terry gave me contact information for hair and makeup artists (Alisse and Arden) who provided on-site service. On our arrival, there was a sweet welcoming message outside the reception area and wine and a cheese plate in the suite. We were greeted by Terry & told what to expect. The day of our wedding we had the inn's wonderful breakfast and massages, read by the pool, and were made beautiful by Alisse and Arden. The photographer arrived on time and took photos of us all over the property, and the 5:30pm ceremony was simple and sweet (the way we wanted it). We had a little downtime, then dinner in the fabulous restaurant, finishing with a beautiful and delicious little wedding cake. Waiting in our suite were flower petals, a hotel gift, and various bath salts. Throughout our stay, the staff was unobtrusive but very friendly and accommodating. Everything was just so mellow and relaxed and the attention to detail was lovely! This is a place we'll look forward to revisiting in the years to come.

We had a very relaxing stay at Farmhouse Inn - we didn't even leave the property from our Sat afternoon arrive until our Sun noon departure! We got a great last minute deal on the room and they moved us from above the Resturant (too much street noise) to a cute little cottage that was much quieter and private. We had our own little sitting area with gorgeous abutilon flowers. The pool area was great with excellent service - they provide lots of free snacks and drinks. One of the best parts was the free wine tasting and appetizers - you sit outside at this long table and can meet the other guests. We ate the the Farmhouse restaurant and then roasted smores at the outside fire pits after dinner! They have homemade marshmallows and graham crackers and french chocolate! Yum yum! Be careful to not eat too much sugar.

I cannot say enough great things about the Farmhouse Inn, and I am not sure what the negative reviews are about. I write about food and travel and tend of have high expectations, but the Farmhouse Inn blew them away on every level - the property, rooms, staff and food were all incredible. Compared with other hotels in the area, and even in Napa, the Farmhouse Inn is definitely a cut above. The property itself is gorgeous, and the rooms are "Farmhouse Luxe" - we a had a big, gorgeous bathroom with a steam shower, indoor/outdoor fireplace, and one of the most comfortable king beds I've slept in. The outdoor area is the only thing that could have used improvement, however it faced the side of a hill and there's not much you can do to change that, so I'd request a room on the upper level instead. Claire - the Front Office Manager - and the concierge staff put together the most amazing itinerary for us during our stay, which makes all the difference when visiting wine country. We went to some well known and some smaller, unique wineries, and had VIP treatment every step of the way. Their dining suggestions were also on point, but the restaurant at the hotel should not be missed. I am so sad we had to leave the Farmhouse Inn, but can't wait to come back in the future!

Had a weekend stay at Farmhouse Inn for my husband's special birthday . Had an expensive room (all they had left when we reserved) but figured it was a special weekend, so that was fine. The room was pretty nice, recently redone, with a tub and shower, 2 sinks and heated floors in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and the layout of the place itself was charming with beautiful plantings and lovely looking cottages around the property. Had the room not been over $1000. per night, I might have let these complaints go, but at that price I was surprised. First, the bed. I don't know what type it was, but it was not super comfortable and I didn't know if it was an old bed, or just a cheap one. The linens on the bed were cotton and scratchy. It didn't look like they had been professionally laundered as they weren't smooth and slippery as good sheets should be. I use good quality linens in my home (which can be found at all major department stores and often even on sale!) all the time and when I'm paying for luxury, I expect the sheets to be at least as nice as my own. This was a miss. Also the towels were regular size, not particularly special or especially soft. There was no bath sheet of any sort. . A place that bills itself as the height of luxury should know what that word means. In SF the St. Regis, The Loews and several other 5 star hotels have 'luxury' amenities. This should be standard for a 'luxury property' particularly at that price. My last complaint is about breakfast. The food was fine, but frankly for over $1000. per night I would expect at least the basic breakfast of eggs and bacon to be included. This just seemed cheap to me. When I said I didn't want the potatoes with the eggs, the waiter offered to sub the toast. That made me realize that they charge for every morsel and again I found that strange. They offered a 4 course special breakfast with pastry and other things (which we did not eat) and I can certainly understand their wanting to charge for that, but for bacon, eggs, OJ and toast? How much could that breakfast have cost them to provide? I was disappointed in these things and the fact that the room (while nice) was not worth the price. I feel that Farmhouse is overpriced and overhyped. We heard amazing things about this place, and while it was OK, it was definitely a miss as far as value for money. We would not go back, or recommend it unless someone doesn't mind paying far more than what its worth.
