A Must Stay in the Berkshires

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We are just returning from our stay at The Devonfield Inn for our weekend getaway babymoon. It was the perfect place to have a romantic, relaxing getaway with an all around homey feel. We stayed in the Colleen room. It was spacious, with a lovely antique feel. We loved the extra touches from the chocolates to the luxurious bathrobes. The bed was also comfortable. The breakfasts that were served daily completely exceeded our expectations. Delicious isn't a strong enough word for how much we enjoyed them. The vanilla strawberry pancakes were some of the best pancakes I've ever had. On our second morning we enjoyed deliciously made crepes including a savory crepe that were stuffed with eggs and cheese. I also can't forget to mention the fresh baked cakes that are offered for breakfast every morning that are served warm. We also enjoyed the wine and cheese tasting that was offered on Saturday evening. Spending time listening to a fun and talented pianist with other guests as well as the inkeepers was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. Doug and Jim were such a delight to chat with and were also very helpful with suggesting local attractions. You can tell their heart and soul go into everything they do. The rest staff were also very warm and welcoming. The Inn itself and the rest of the property is beautiful and well kept. If you're looking for somewhere beautiful and cozy to stay in the Berkshires, The Devonfield Inn is an absolute must!

Great memories

Thanks to a Christmas gift certificate from our daughter and son in law, we celebrated our anniversary at the Devonfield Inn. Doug and Jim are wonderful and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious and the cookie jar of mint chocolate chip cookies was a daily treat. Great place to stay and worth a return visit.

Weekend Getaway

We recently enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at the Devonfield Inn. What a delight! Doug and Jim were very friendly and gracious hosts. Our room was immaculate and the inn was charming. We especially enjoyed the complimentary cocktail hour with piano music and the exceptional breakfast. Our stay was too short; we are looking forward to returning!

Loved it here, comfortable and beautiful.

This in is a large, beautiful and well-maintained property. The antiques are beautiful as well and it’s a very comfortable place to stay. We stayed in the Collins suite that had a wood-burning fireplace, which I loved so much. Doug was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the breakfasts were excellent. it was also very quiet and we liked that too. My husband and I go to many bed-and-breakfasts and this is an excellent one.

The Perfect Getaway

This was our 2nd stay at the Devonfield. To our absolute pleasure it may have been better than our last visit. Everything is just absolutely perfect. From the room, with a wood burning fireplace and jet tub, to the delicious breakfast and wonderful hosts, everything is just wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!
