Reviews for 1842 Inn

What an amazing place to stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I stayed at the 1842 Inn for one night on my recent trip to GA. What a lovely place to stay. The building is stunning and my room (Dogwood) was very nice with a beautiful iron bed. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfy so I slept great! The staff was so helpful with anything I needed or had questions about and my breakfast the next morning was amazing! I recommend the French Toast! Unfortunately I got there a little late in the evening so I didnt get to experience the complimentary hors d’ oeuvres but Im sure they would have been good too. If I ever make it back to Macon I will for sure stay again. I loved everything about the stay and wish I could have stayed longer.

Gracie the Cavapoo gives the 1842 Inn a 4 paw rating

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

On a road trip with my Cavapoo dog, Gracie. The Staff at the Inn couldn't have been nicer to her and were all very welcoming. The hotel is in a great location surrounded by beautiful architecture; and nearby Tatnall park was perfect for her. It's lucky we were taking many walks as Gracie received more than her share of treats from the team at 1842. I arrived very late in the evening and it was so nice to see people sitting around the outdoor firepit. Katie - seen here with Gracie - was a fountain of information about Macon and how it has changed over recent years. Gracie was also very enamoured of the beautiful front porch. I heartily recommend the french toast for breakfast, seconded by Gracie.

hotel with great hospitality and beautiful gardens

Great historical hotel with all the modern amenities required. We had some problems with some documents and they did everything to sort out our mishap. Everyone made us feel at home. Delicious appetizers in the afternoon. Situation is perfect and very quiet. Only sore point: we had to leave.

My wife and I spent a four days at the 1842 Inn. The décor was lovely, the rooms and grounds peaceful and soothing, the food excellent, and best of all the staff were pleasant, friendly, and attentive. I’m not sure how the location could be better, as were able to explore a number of historic and architectural sites within a half mile of the Inn. Overall, and especially if you are looking for a rest with quiet, good food, and pleasant staff, the 1842 Inn is the place.
