Off California’s Hwy 1 is Brewery Gulch Inn, a retreat nestled between redwood forests, dramatic Pacific cliffs and a verdant mosaic of vineyards. Proprietors Guy and Sarah Pacurar have forged an idyllic respite made of timber reclaimed from the Big River and populated with Arts and Crafts furniture, in an ecosystem they actually strive to improve by regenerating the land and encouraging bio-diversity. Otters and harbor seals frolic in the waters below as deer dash through the forests. To watch the sun set over this coastline is something extraordinary.

This is the ONLY place to choose when you are staying in Mendocino. Yes there are many options but this is the whole package and then some! Been going for probably 18+ years and have stayed probably as many times if not more. There is new ownership (still miss Guy & Sara) but GM Sarah and all the crew including Iza, Josh and all of them make us feel like family spoil and take care of us. Worth every penny. When people look at prices and say how expensive places are we'll look at everything you get. Amazing room. Wonderful staff. Full breakfasts. Wine and beer and apps hour. (Side note: book their 5 day vacay avail November-May each year). Can't wait for our next visit.

We spent two wonderful nights at Brewery Gulch Inn and loved every second of our time both at the Inn and in and around Mendocino. With lots of options close to the water, choosing where to stay was a bit of a conundrum after not having been in Mendocino for forty years. We couldn't have been happier with Brewery Gulch. From the second you walk into the Inn you know you're in a place that feels like home. The entire staff were professional and kindhearted. The room we had was lovely with a small balcony and a view of the ocean. Truly paradise. There was a casualness to the place that made us feel like were in someone's lovely cabin home and not an inn. Breakfast was included and several choices are offered and all delicious. We loved the late afternoon happy hours with some tasty local wines and hot "snacks" that could easily serve as dinner as well. A special shout out to the wonderful team who made it a point to call us a few hours after we left for our drive back home early in the morning to let us know that we had left a few items behind in the closet. They made sure that we got the items back safely and in a timely manner.

Excellent service. Food is delicious and we liked the wine hour very much. Property is well maintained and view of the terrace is gorgeous. We will definitely come back. They were also able to accommodate our late housekeeping requests. Room is quiet and big. My daughter had a great time there and very short distance to Mendocino.

From the moment we arrived we realised this place is heaven. The little touches mean so much. The most comfortable bed and pillows! Wine and a light two course dinner and exceptional breakfast included. Every member of staff went far beyond to provide incredible service!! I so wish we lived nearer.we would come back often.

“My daughter and I stayed at the Brewery Gulch Inn & it was just lovely. We had two beautiful rooms upstairs with great views. The food was delicious. Although we chose to eat out one night, we did not need to. There is ample food to never have to leave that lovely secluded place.“

The Brewery Gulch Inn was wonderful and all the food was gourmet. We ended up liking the wine and appetizer hour so much that we never bothered to go out to dinner in town afterward! One night the inn owner was actually our host, pouring and recommending wine. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a romantic getaway.

We were at Brewery Gulch Inn for three nights in November. This is the best B&B we have EVER been to! We are kind of reluctant to tell you this as it will become far too popular! Hospitality abounds down to the smallest detail. Beautiful establishment, cozy lovely room, sumptuous beds, fireplace and flat screen TV in room - not to mention the gorgeous ocean view! Breakfast is offered by a menu of delicious organic selections - you choose the time to eat and they will
even deliver it to your room. They have an actual Chef
on the premises that does all the cooking. The wine and buffet hour is outstanding and delicious. Fresh orchids on all the tables and in all rooms, DVD library and also books. We could go on and on - this place has thought of everything and left out nothing! On a scale of 1-10 we would give it 100!

We just finished with our stay at the best bed & breakfast we have ever stayed at. The Brewery Gulch Inn is amazing and stunning! The food was outstanding and the service is a 10. Six-star bed and breakfast by far! The giant wood stove with roaring fires, and playing games with my love made for the most romantic evenings.
