All kinds of birds- fresh air and an amazing locally sourced breakfast brought to your room- It was a dream! I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for making my birthday so magical🥰

Don’t recommend

If you stay here, do not stay in the “King bed, Garden View” because you’ll literally be sleeping in an attic. We kinda feel deceived because we had no idea we were staying in a house with other guests, let alone an attic. We wouldn’t have stayed there if we knew that. It was super hot when we stayed in July and there’s no AC. In addition to that, our towels had holes in them, our comforter had dirt on it, and our carpet had tons of stains. This was not a good value for the price.

If you like limited staff and food options yet being charged at 4 star rate, go here.

For the price of this room, it is not worth it. Extremely limited food options and time windows to eat. This hotel is setup for "self-serve". They are cashless which disqualifies them from a real business in my book. This is a $200.00 max per room value

★★★★½ — A Perfect Quiet Getaway on the Mendocino Coast

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We stayed in a room at the main lodge over the 4th of July weekend with my wife and our dog, and it was exactly the kind of reset we needed. The room was spacious for a couple, with big windows that flooded the space with natural light. On-site EV charging was a great bonus. What made this place special was the sense of calm. The property has a chicken farm, a llama reserve, and a small trail that leads right to the ocean — uncrowded and peaceful. It was the perfect way to start and end each day, just stepping outside into nature without needing to drive anywhere. Communication with the hosts was easy and friendly. They offered fresh cookies at check-in and every day of our stay — a small touch that made it feel welcoming. Location-wise, Fort Bragg, the Skunk Train, and Mendocino Headlands Park were all about a 20-minute drive with no traffic. Very doable for day trips. We tried restaurants in Mendocino village and also ate at the hotel's own restaurant — no complaints on food, plenty of solid options either way. There was a water station on the ground floor which was a nice touch. We'd absolutely come back. If you're looking for a quiet, nature-filled home base to explore the Mendocino coast — especially with a dog — this is it.

Beautiful paradise with ocean views and early morning fog

Great location, great views from the room we booked. It was a family vacation and my daughters loved feeding the chickens and llamas and all of the flowers on the property and the room itself. Personalized parking spaces, and a friendly note welcome you to the Inn and your room. Property and room were very clean, staff happy and helpful.

This place was just what I needed! It was my first time to Mendocino and I so happy to have found Glendeven. How great it was not to hear cell phones and TV noise. We enjoyed our walks to the coast and seeing the birds, rabbits and deer. I hope to be back many times in my life. What a treat it is for body, mind and soul.
