Glendeven Inn Mendocino

The property is lovely, located close to trails, staff very friendly, presence of llamas and chickens a fun feature. In-room food service could be improved significantly (i.e., taste, volume).

My wife and I spent five days in Mendocino for her birthday, as we’ve done many times before. We usually stay at a traditional B&B, but this time we tried the Mendocino Farm. When we arrived, Carrie at the front desk welcomed us, checked us in, and handed us the key. That’s when our trip nearly fell apart. I recently became disabled and can’t climb stairs, and I hadn’t mentioned this when booking. Our assigned room was upstairs. I asked Carrie if we could switch to a ground floor room. She tried but couldn’t find an immediate alternative. She offered help carrying our bags upstairs, but that wouldn’t solve the problem. Then she mentioned that an accessible room on the lower floor had been reserved only because it was the last one available, and the guest might be willing to swap. She made several calls and arranged the exchange. Thanks to her effort, our getaway was saved. The farm itself is beautiful, overlooking the ocean with walking paths, flower fields, and peaceful views. Carrie and the entire staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond what I would expect. It turned into a wonderful five day stay in a truly special place — all because of Carrie’s extra care.

Under appreciated gem with lots of trails and farm animals for the kids. Could easily be a 3.5 star hotel. Would stay again

Beautiful, dreamy property close to a gorgeous beach and state park with many trails. The in-room breakfasts, the llamas, the chickens and the unique layout of the cottages and houses make this a really magical and relaxing stay. Very close (by car) to Mendocino and the beaches and hikes to the north as well. A real gem!

Perfect place for a relaxing get away in charming Mendocino. Inn is beautifully decorated and had working fireplace in room. Hiking trails right outside hotel after you walk by the chickens and llamas. Greeted by friendly staff and a warm cookie. Fresh breakfast made to order and delivered to your room.
