We had reservations at another hotel in Mendocino but before leaving we took another look at reviews and changed to 5 star Glendeven. Are we glad we did. The Inn was perfect in every way from staff to breakfast on our patio each day. Our room, East Farmington was charming, private and the views to garden and ocean was amazing. The grounds with chickens, Llamas and flowers were a delight. My husband said at the end of our stay he wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. We will be back next year.

My wife and I first went to this slice of paradise on our honeymoon two years ago. The inn, the coast and the town of Mendocino weave themselves into a magnificent experience that sends you back in time to a less complicated and relaxing world. You can actually feel the stress of your everyday life leave you as you have the first glass of wine at the reception after check in. A million little things, the view, the llamas the friendly staff, no television, cookies and sherry make you never want to leave. We seem to always extend our stay. I don't know that I have any been anywhere like this before. We cannot wait to go back. I wish we were going tomorrow.

My husband and I spent a blissful few days at Glendeven Inn this month. We were welcomed with wine and gourmet appetizers, slept in the most comfortable bed ever, awoke to the most phenomenal homemade breakfast (with eggs from the chickens of Glendeven), hiked on the insanely gorgeous headlands trail (just steps from the Inn), gazed at the rocky Pacific coast and enjoyed an evening fire complete with homemade cookies and port wine, compliments of the Inn. Attention to every detail was considered by a warm and competent staff. Glendeven Inn is a slice of heaven. We can't wait to return.

We had a great weekend at Mendocino's Glendeven Inn! A very private farm with wonderful attention to detail; the gardens, artwork, furnishings. Each morning a delicious breakfast is brought to your room, ocean views, llamas, and chickens I can't think of a better way to recharge. Oh, and the hikes are beautiful invigorating! This was not our first visit there and it won't be our last!!

In fairness, we return to this place at least annually because we like the B&B so much... our review is biased. But we are welcomed on each return, our rooms are always well maintained and beautiful, and the hospitality shown by the owners and staff - from the morning breakfast that is always very attractive and delicious, to the evening happy hour always make us look forward to our next visit. The gardens and views from the B&B as well as the access not only to the village of Mendocino and other destinations (Boonville, Ft. Bragg, Elk, Ukiah, etc.) make our trips full of opportunity and stress-relief. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Inn to our friends for a great getaway.
