About the Hotel
A father’s wedding gift for his daughter, MacCallum House was built in 1882 and to this day exudes the historic charm of the Victorian era. Multiple gables and gingerbread trim add a very romantic touch to the main building. The property is set on two meticulously groomed flower-filled acres and guests walking the perimeter of the garden can smell roses from bushes that the original owner planted more than a century ago. Rooms are individually designed and scattered throughout the historic main house and the newly renovated former barn. From many windows, there are gorgeous views of Mendocino Bay. Several residences have sleigh beds and wood-burning fireplaces. Sleeping quarters cater to tech-savvy travelers with flat-screen televisions, complimentary WiFi and mini bars, while bathrooms are outfitted with jetted tubs or freestanding claw foot tubs and plush bathrobes.

Ended up staying extra night... again
MacCallum house has been our yearly vacation spot for better part of a decade now. All staff members are super friendly and helpful. The cute dog-friendly cottages with little yards are great for us who want to take our furry friends with, and those hot tubs can't be beat after a long day outdoors! Food in the house restaurant is good and locally sourced. All the troubles just melt away and life finds its stress free rhythm in this chill, beautiful place. We'll be back soon again!

Lovely town, great places to eat and comfortable stay
Lovely small town on a wild coast. We recently stayed at this property for 3 nights. We stayed in a King bedded room in the Suites. I suggest you review the website information and discuss with the property your requirements before selecting a room type. The breakfast at the property was very relaxed and enjoyable. One thing worth noting the tap water was not wonderful and we switched to bottled water.

A dream get-away at the MacCallum House
The grounds are like a botanical garden! How did they get everything to bloom at once? The restaurant served us a memorably delicious dinner and two delightful breakfasts (included with room). My friends and I enjoyed the steamy hot tub in the cool Mendocino nights. The bed was super comfortable and I had sweet dreams. My bathroom was spotless and bright with skylights. Best of all, the attentive staff responded to our requests promptly and went above and beyond to please. My friends and I look forward to making our stay here a regular event.

Fabulous weekend.
What a magic place! Took the kids and grandkids for the weekend. The staff was gracious, the breakfast exceptional, and one of the best dinners I have ever had. I love the little details in the rooms, everything is so well appointed. The cocktail menu was exciting and tasty. The food was super delicious, with organic ingredients and locally sourced where available. We will definitely go back!

Finishing up a delightful two-night stay at the MacCallum House! We loved everything about the place, from the beautiful gardens to the comfortable, clean, well-appointed rooms, and the delicious meals in the restaurant. Best of all--the warm welcome and thoughtful hospitality, which made our visit memorable. We'll be back, we promise.

Misty cool mornings and nights, a luxurious fireplace and the ambience of Northern California made our three-night sojourn at the MacCallum House a memory not soon forgotten. The food, the jazz festival, the ocean - who could ask for more?
