Expectations were high given that my husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary and 1801 First Luxury Inn exceeded those! Carrie and Blair were incredibly warm and welcoming. It is apparent that they take much pride and enjoyment in sharing their inn with guests. They are very genuine in their hospitality. They encourage socializing with the other guests during the afternoon wine events with delicious wine and cheeses. In an area as naturally beautiful as Napa wine country, the environment of the Luxury Inn only completes that picture and experience! The breakfasts were delicious. My husband and I were excited to see what the next morning's breakfast would bring! We have stayed at a chic hotel in downtown Napa , many castles and b&b's internationally and my husband and I both agree 1801 First Luxury Inn ranks among the best !! Excellent wine suggestions were given to us ... we have many bottles here in Virginia to remind us of our memories of Napa! Kudos to Shirlie for the wonderful winery recommendation made to us as our last winery of our milestone event! 1801 First Luxury Inn .... first for many reasons ( hospitality, location, and general personal attention)!

1801 hit all the high points. A friendly, helpful check in with wine offered, a tour and advice on how to get the most out of our time there, including making reservations for dinner and wineries. The historic home was well taken care of. Our upstairs junior suite was spacious and quiet - although more drawer space would have been helpful. The nightly wine and cheese receptions were fun and gave us a chance to talk to other guests and hear about their experiences. The owners seemed very proud of their property, and for good reason. Definitely enjoyed our stay. It was an easy walk into town to eat dinner or shop.

After listening to my daughter and son-law talk about 1801 First I knew I had to stay there. As it turns out it was my most wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it. Carrie,Blair, and their staff are and will be my favorite hosts ever. Love you guys and when we return you can be guaranteed that would love to be your guests.

We recently took a girls trip to Wine country and were so pleased to find 1801 First! It was a perfect place to be, location was great for walking to nearby shopping and dining. The rooms were so cozy and comfortable, it was such a nice place to return to after a long day of visiting local wineries. We loved our morning breakfast and enjoying the beautiful house and also the wine and cheese in the garden! Carrie and Blair are doing a fantastic job and their wonderful staff made us feel at home! Thanks for a memorable time and we hope to be back very soon!

Three couples of us enjoyed a fabulous four days at 1801 First. Our last visit was in 2014, and this time it was even better. Spacious room, very comfortable furnishings, FABULOUS breakfasts (changing daily), delightful afternoon wine/cheese in the garden, and most gracious and accommodating hosts. First class accommodations and very central to downtown Napa and easy to highway to get to wineries. Walking distance to fine restaurants. "who could ask for anything more?" :-)
