My husband and I were lucky enough to be gifted a night's stay at 1801 First Luxury Inn. It could not have been more charming and delightful. We stayed in Suites 1 & 2 and were greeted with every thoughtful amenity; chef-made truffles, chilled champagne, a beautiful white luxurious bed, a superb chef-made breakfast, and more. Even in drizzly winter weather, we walked a few blocks to downtown Napa and enjoyed the old architecture and grabbing lunch at the Hog Island Oyster Co. and tasting some delicious wines. Blair & Carrie, the owners, could not be more charming and helpful and the staff is excellent. Every detail is seen to and the luxurious large hot bath tub at the end of the day was bliss.

This was our first trip to Napa and was for our first wedding anniversary. 1801 First was absolutely perfect - a beautiful property, delicious food and the most lovely and helpful staff. Its a great location for walking into town and the team were very helpful with recommendations in the area. We look forward to returning as soon as possible!

I must admit that I had never been to a B&B, so I was not sure exactly what to expect. That being said, I was blown away by the experience provided by Carrie and her team. The the food was excellent, the service was personal and attentive, and location was very convenient. The team was also very helpful in making reservations -- plus the afternoon wine tastings were a nice little bonus touch. Overall, I would highly recommend 1801 to any couple visiting Napa.

This was our first trip to Napa, and we feel we stayed at the perfect spot. As noted in the title, the location was quite convenient--easy to walk to downtown Napa for a bite to eat or something to drink, yet close to major roads. The crew at 1801 is top notch. We were stuck in awful traffic coming from SFO (might be stating the obvious for many, but do avoid the evening rush hour if at all possible). The exasperating drive was quickly suppressed in our minds, as we were welcomed by Laura with a glass of wine and shown to our room. We walked into Napa to a restaurant recommended by Laura, and our trip was off and running. We appreciated the friendly, funny, and helpful staff, Shirlee and Laura, and enjoyed the wine hours in the evening. Blair, one of the owners, was a delight to share stories with. The breakfasts were restaurant quality, with unique and interesting presentations. I'd never had fruit with lime syrup before--delicious! We appreciated the numerous recommendations and personal touches that we experienced. It was an experience so much richer than you'd find at a hotel. We felt so well cared for. Don't let the recent Napa fires dissuade you from taking a trip sometime soon. They are open for business!

We stayed here for a long weekend in early November for a friends trip, and could not have picked a better place to stay! Before arrival, they arranged a wine tour for us, as well as booked tastings for us on other days. During our stay, they assisted with dinner reservations, provided a fabulous breakfast daily (tip - get the bacon!), an enjoyable (and tasty) wine hour each evening, arranged shipping for us at the end of the trip, and so much more. The rooms are wonderful and, when the weather cooperates, the garden area is a great place to relax. Thank you to everyone at 1801 First for making our Napa Valley visit so wonderful!
