We had a wonderful stay at this lovely bed and breakfast. Shirley was very welcoming and accommodating. Our room was decorated nicely and I loved the large tub and separate shower. The robes in the rooms were the softest I've every experienced and large enough to wrap around me. The evening wine get togethers were fun on both nights with plenty of wine flowing. The other guests were all friendly and interesting people. The Chef adjusted the menu for my picky eating for two great breakfasts. The location was not far from downtown and the wine train.

Thank you for the wonderful 1801 First Luxury Inn, Junior Suite to stay in while we visited the Napa Valley in February 2018. The suite was beautifully furnished and decorated. The location is superb, with great walks to downtown Napa and the many restaurants close by! No need to drive anywhere. The room was clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts. The wine and hors d’ oeuvres each evening where a great way to start the evenings! We also appreciated the specially packed breakfast on the last morning to allow us to leave early and not miss breakfast. The Inn was also well maintained and cleaned, throughout. We very much enjoyed your hospitality, greeting us, introducing us to your Inn, and responding to our needs during our stay. Thank you for 3 superb nights in Napa. We look forward to visiting again in the near future!

Carrie and Blair are incredible hosts. If (not if, when!) we return to Napa, there is no question about where we’ll stay. My husband treated me to 6 days in wine country and booked our stay here at 1801 First. It was raining when we arrived and we were tired from our long day of travel. Carrie was there to greet us at the door, got us inside out of the rain and her first words were, “Welcome!! Come in, what kind of wine can I bring you?” I laughed and sighed relief because it was just what I needed at that moment. We stayed in one of the carriage houses in the courtyard and it was perfect. Beautifully decorated, very clean, private, and all accommodations you can think of were provided. We didn’t really do a lot of trip planning and thought we would just figure it out when we got there. I’m so glad we did it this way. Carrie and their Inn Managers had fantastic recommendations for us and even scheduled/booked appointments for us. Their suggestions provided the perfect mix of activities/wineries for our 1st time in Napa. I could go on and on.....everything from their amazing chef whipping up the most tasty breakfasts each morning to the freshly baked daily cookies (careful! Between the wine, food, and irresistible cookies, I had a few pounds to work off when I returned home) were perfection. Carrie and Blair provide a wine hour each night and on Friday nights at least one of them, if not both attend to visit and socialize with their guests. It was so nice getting to know them as well as some of the other guests. I greatly appreciated the perfect balance of giving us privacy vs being available if we needed something vs being visible to socialize/get to know them. On our last day, one of the managers even packed up some cookies in a baggie and gave them to us for our trip home - just like my grandma used to do after visiting her. Staying here really made a significant difference in the quality of our overall trip - I highly highly recommend!!

If you come to Napa, you have to stay at 1801 First, located on the edge of downtown Napa, and a short drive to the wine tasting venues. This bed and breakfast is beautifully appointed, each suite having its own personality and homey touches. Our suite had a huge soaking tub and the bed was so comfortable! Owners Carrie and Blair host a lovely wine tasting each evening, and are the warmest and most inviting couple you could ever meet! They are knowledgeable about the area and are eager to offer dining suggestions, and meet your every need. We loved sitting on the patio in the evening sipping wine and recounting the events of the day. Breakfasts were exquisite- we really enjoyed Chef’s flavors and creativity. Fresh cookies and beverages always available in the dining room was also a nice touch. We can’t say enough good things about 1801. Do stay with Carrie and Blair when you come to Napa and see for yourself!
