I drove up for a last minute trip to Napa, but the hotels were all booked on this holiday weekend. I was fortunate enough to find 1801 First Luxury Inn. Luckily, they had a last minute cancellation and I was able to stay in one of the outside cottages. It was absolutely lovely. Great colors, comfortable bed, high quality bedding/linens, updated bath/shower, wireless, TV, fireplace, and a fridge in room with wine available for purchase. This historical house has been updated while keeping the charm of the original home. It is stunning. The wine hour with cheese and charcuterie was a great way to relax by the fire before heading out for dinner. The owner was so friendly and a great hostess. She knew all of the guests by name and was helping each of us with our activities while in Napa. The breakfast is made to order for each individual and is excellent! I've been coming to Napa for many years and this was one of the best overnight experiences I've had. I hope to go back for many more!

My wife had a business trip coming up in San Franciso. Since I am retired and my birthday was that week she wanted to take me wine tasting in Napa Valley. She booked two nights at 1801 First andI am glad she did. Blair and Carrie (the owners) are the real deal. They make you feel like you have known them for years though you've just met. Shirley was the first staff member we met and she is an asset to this b&b. Shirley saw to it that we were comfortable and very well taken care of. Laura (the care taker) was great too. My compliments to the chef. Best b&b breakfast ever. His cookies are wonderful, they are available 24 hrs. in the dining area(I had many more than I should have). Our suite was clean and luxurious as was the whole building. 1801 First made me feel like my only responsibility while there was to choose which wineries to visit. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We will be back.

My husband and I were lucky enough to be gifted a night's stay at 1801 First Luxury Inn. It could not have been more charming and delightful. We stayed in Suites 1 & 2 and were greeted with every thoughtful amenity; chef-made truffles, chilled champagne, a beautiful white luxurious bed, a superb chef-made breakfast, and more. Even in drizzly winter weather, we walked a few blocks to downtown Napa and enjoyed the old architecture and grabbing lunch at the Hog Island Oyster Co. and tasting some delicious wines. Blair & Carrie, the owners, could not be more charming and helpful and the staff is excellent. Every detail is seen to and the luxurious large hot bath tub at the end of the day was bliss.

This was our first trip to Napa and was for our first wedding anniversary. 1801 First was absolutely perfect - a beautiful property, delicious food and the most lovely and helpful staff. Its a great location for walking into town and the team were very helpful with recommendations in the area. We look forward to returning as soon as possible!

I must admit that I had never been to a B&B, so I was not sure exactly what to expect. That being said, I was blown away by the experience provided by Carrie and her team. The the food was excellent, the service was personal and attentive, and location was very convenient. The team was also very helpful in making reservations -- plus the afternoon wine tastings were a nice little bonus touch. Overall, I would highly recommend 1801 to any couple visiting Napa.
