It was our first time staying in Napa, and we are thrilled we found this boutique hotel! We received wine when we checked in and chocolate truffles in our room. We attended the nightly "wine hour" both Friday and Saturday nights. On Friday, a local winemaker presented his wine and it was outstanding -- even in comparison to the other amazing Napa wine we'd been having on the trip! We also got to meet the owners of the inn during the wine hour, who gave us recommendations on places to eat and wineries to visit. We were planning to eat out for breakfast on one of the mornings we stayed there, but after eating a unique and scrumptious breakfast at the inn on our first morning, we knew we would come back the next day for another inn-cooked breakfast. We weren't disappointed! The room itself was charming and comfortable, and we had a private outdoor patio where we read and played a game of Scrabble (the inn had some board games on hand that guests could borrow). Overall, everyone who works at this inn is so friendly and accommodating. We would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat!

We had an amazing visit at 1801 First! Our first time to Napa and we are already planning the next trip! The B&B was way more than expected...beautifully decorated, wonderful staff, AMAZING food and no detail was left out! They helped us plan, coordinate and book our entire trip and did it with a smile! The staff even sent us home with bags of home made cookies for our flight home!

What an experience. When we travel we put great emphisis in our acomidations. It's a big deal to us and we view this as part of the travel experience. 1801 First is a breath of fresh, luxurious air in Napa. We have stayed in several inns in the area and have often been let down. 1801 was an exception and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a a place to stay that has a special flair. Like the inn itself, the vibe is upscale but not pretentious. If you like to interact with others this is a great place to do it but if you need to retreat and be on your own you won't feel any pressure here. The inn Is stylishly decorated with lots of attention to detail. And for a wine lover like me it's nice to have a bottle of port nearby always ready to pour on demand. ( the evening wine hour is always fun) The innkeepers are super fun, social and helpfull. Like all great innkeepers they go out of there way to help you have the experience that you looking for. Richard the chef does a great job every morning with breakfast and I hear that you can order breakfast in bed! I have not tried that by next time we stay here I plan to do this every day! 1801 is located a short walk from downtown Napa with great food, drink and world class jazz at the Blue Note. My wife and I like this inn very much and would recommend giving it a try.

We are lucky to have found this place! 3rd time staying at 1801 First and this place is absolutely amazing! My husband and I have stayed at other B&B's in Napa but 1801 First is our favorite. Friendly, warm, with lots of hospitality! Innkeepers Carrie and Blaire and their entire staff are extremely helpful and very welcoming! They have an excellent chef who makes the best breakfast ever! Not only does the food taste delicious but he has the best presentation! The house is beautiful, clean, very cozy with loads of charm, what a great way to start enjoy vacation! Our room was spacious and clean and our bed was very comfortable. Its in a perfect location and the Inn is walking distance from downtown Napa. My husband and I are excited go back for another visit! I highly recommend 1801 First. You wont be disappointed. 👍🏽😄

Location for 5 minute walk to downtown tasting rooms & restaurants. Delicious daily breakfast, wine + hors d'oeuvres, & cookies. Attentive, friendly & knowledgeable staff. Our room (deluxe suite 1) was incredibly spacious, with a plushy king sized bed, mini fridge, soaking tub & walk in shower. High end toiletries and cozy bathrobes. Great input on suggested wineries & restaurants.
