Reviews for Saybrook Point Inn & Spa
We stayed at the Saybrook Point Inn & Spa last weekend for my birthday and we are planning to book next year as well! Beautiful Inn right at the mouth of the Connecticut River where it meets the ocean. We had a King room with fireplace and deck overlooking the marina. It was the first true spring weekend for us and the weather was great. Lovely room, bed was very comfortable. The "Fresh Salt" restaurant was the best I've experienced in any Inn we've stayed. We were there several times both for dinner and breakfast. Everyone of the staff was friendly and gracious and made us feel welcome. Thank you for a wonderful Birthday!

My wife and I booked a last-minute three-night mini-vacation at the Saybrook Point Inn. Rarely have we enjoyed ourselves more. The inn is comfortable and luxurious in a pleasingly old-fashioned way (we stayed in a junior suite with a fireplace—if you have one, be sure and ask the valet to lay a fire for you). The harbor view is lovely, and everyone on the hotel staff was UNUSUALLY helpful and attentive. Nice pools, nice Jacuzzi. I wish the in-room cable TV featured TCM—every hotel should—but a fairly large selection of DVDs is available from the front desk, and a player can be plugged directly into your TV without fuss. We liked Fresh Salt, the restaurant, so much that we ended up eating nearly all of our meals there. One entrée, the cauliflower steak, didn't quite work out, but when my wife told our server that she wasn't happy with its preparation, the dish was instantaneously replaced without charge and the restaurant manager came to our table at once to make sure that we were happy with the substitution. Everything else we ordered was absolutely first-rate. (Warning: the portions are quite large. Fortunately, the rooms have refrigerators.) Bottom line: we will definitely return to the Saybrook Point Inn. We look forward to it!

Our room was huge- 2-3 x the size of most hotel rooms. Keurig coffee maker, fridge and eloquent decor. The beds were very comfy. The maids barely came-did not refresh our toiletries or towels. There was a very loud party across the hall from us that I had to call the front desk on twice and it was handled well. The spa is incredible! This is a great place, fun for a destination wedding.

Absolutely superlative service: from Bobby picking us up at the train station and keeping our room warm with the fire logs to every single waiter and help staff in the Salt Restaurant to the lovely housekeepers. Absolutely beautiful grounds from the lovely lobby to the clean pool to our incredibly gorgeous and spacious room with pretty furnishings, a fantastic bathroom (double sinks, shower and tub, great shampoos). Absolutely top-rate linens, bed, and furniture. If they had HBO and Netflix access they'd be perfect. So glad we came, can't wait to go back.

My family and I spent a long weekend at the Saybrook Point inn and it was fantastic ! The setting, spa, rooms, and restaurants were just fantastic ! Absolutely nothing to improve upon. The staff was wonderful and the food - especially their lobster rolls - were superb. The only disappointment was the outdoor pool - it was nice size and clean but the outdoor pool area was sparse in that there was no greenery and an ugly fence surrounded the pool - otherwise - spectacular -
