Reviews for Saybrook Point Inn & Spa
We stayed at this beautiful Inn for our 25th wedding Anniversary gift to ourselves. Our requirements for this very special occasion were: water views from the room, beautiful bedroom decor with luxury comfort, good food and great room service, staff that makes you feel very special and the most important was that our elderly French Bulldog was treated like a queen. Yes, they are pet friendly and there is a very nice park across the street to enjoy with your pup. They also offer pet sitting and our sweetie was very happy, thanks to a lovely lady who gave her the best care. There is a very nice, scenic causeway to walk across for excellent exercise, a very fine public golf course right past the causeway. When you are done with your workout, the spa is ready to give you that much needed massage to drive away the tension and get you ready to relax at one of the finest places you will ever stay.

Stayed in room 203. Great set up with "Mini" Balcony overlooking Marina and mouth of Connecticut River where it meets Long Island Sound. Also next to elevator access to main Lobby and Spa. Front desk extremely helpful, especially "Scott and Paulina". Dined at Fresh Salt for dinner and breakfast - both top of the line for menu and service. Close to downtown Old Saybrook and short drive to Essex, Madison and several other Long Island Sound waterfront town's and beaches. One of my favorite places to stay!

What a wonderful place. My husbands 65 birthday, comfy robes in our beautiful room(complete with fireplace), short stroll to in and outdoor heated pools, sauna, steam room, hot tub, massages available, incredible restaurant. We loved this place. We will most certainly celebrate other special occasions here in the future.
We stayed 3 nights in the middle of the week. Rooms are very nice. I would suggest if you want a quiet retreat - that you look elsewhere, especially if you overlook the pool or Marina. Restaurant was very good.

Gorgeous property - right on the water and impeccably clean and well kept. Room spacious and accommodating with all the right amenities (except ice being available only on 2nd floor). Food at Sunday Brunch was great as well.... but the service... It started with check in... Us: "We would like a water facing room." Response: "We are completely sold out." Us: "Well certainly not 100% of the quests have yet to check in... there are currently no water facing rooms?" Response: "I am not making any room changes." Check in continues via a number of keystrokes on the property management system... then response, "Well it looks like you have a water view facing room anyway." That was it - as curt and cold as written. Brunch food fantastic, but initial service... we were being seated in a currently empty dining room in the dead center of the room at a 4-top for a party of two. Us: "Can we possibly have that 2-top over by the window." Response: "No, that is reserved." Us: "We are a party of 2 - are you certain that you want to place us at a 4 - top anyway?" Response: "That is your reserved table." We glance and see an adjacent 4-top immediately adjacent to our currently assigned table but next to the window. Us: "Well, can't we have that 4-top instead?" Response, "No, that is reserved." 3 trips by the hostess back and forth to the check in desk ultimately resulted in us getting the 4-top by the window. Oh, the 2-top that we originally requested and suggested as an option... the "reserved" guests were seated literally 5 minutes before we actually departed about 1 1/2 hour later. Ugh. Fortunately our server for the brunch was personable and pleasant... a breath of fresh air! Again, great food and locale, but service needs to step it up for this location.
