I used to stay at this hotel in the early 2000's and was always impressed by the property and was looking forward to going back. boy was I disappointed! The hotel has gone DOWNHILL massively. Although the location is prime, the hotel was run down, still displayed full holiday decor (in mid-January) and the staff seemed tired and run down. They were not the cheerful staff that used to work at the hotel. What was even worse was our room! We stayed in the garden rooms that used to be quaint and nice---that was not even close to what we had, the room was dingy, with dated tv and equimpent, the bathrrom felt dirty and the room was musty and under a dark stairwell. I was very disappointed in the hotel and felt so dirty there I did not feel comfortable partaking in the breakfast that was included with my room. The water and coffee stations were unattended, the whole experience was not up to expectations. there are plenty of other nice hotels in the town, stay there instead of wasting your money at the Bellmoor

We come here every year to celebrate my husband's bday. The location is perfect! Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants but not TOO on top of everything so there's some peace and quiet. Staff are top notch responsive. Breakfast that's included is lovely.

This is a very nice, immaculate, perfectly located hotel with an attentive and friendly staff and well-appointed common spaces. The surrounding trees and garden with its Koi Pond is instantly de-stressing -- even in the depth of winter. It was just the two of us celebrating our anniversary and the New Year, and we had booked the Gardener's Cottage. However, we were automatically upgraded to the Bell House at the last minute because of an overbooking. This is a standalone home for up to 10 people, exactly 100 steps from the Main Building with separate parking which was way more than we needed, but with two full bathrooms and the doors shut to the extra bedrooms, it made for a very comfortable few days stay. Although we rated it 5 stars, there are some improvements that mostly center on upping their guest communications. Finding information about the times and availability of their breakfasts, bar, and other food and beverage offerings -- especially during holidays is often only available verbally from the staff and not written or linkable so, take notes and ask lots questions. Yes, we will return and highly recommend, especially during the off season when rates are much more reasonable.

The climb to our outside room, without an elevator, was not expected or worth it. Please dust common areas & stop charging extra for a drink??? The bed was unnaturally bumpy. The food was less than average. What happened? This used to be a premiere spot! The staff was great & that is the only reason for 2 stars.

The Bellmoor is always our preferred place to stay in Rehoboth Beach; it is a little pricey and we do not use the spa services so we have stayed at other places but they never quite meet the standards of the Bellmoor.
