The Bellmoor Inn & Spa

Spent a long weekend with my husband in Rehoboth Beach, DE. My husband heard a lot of good things about the area. We choose the Bellmoor Inn & Spa because we want to be in a hotel that has its own spa. We got a great couple messages in the spa. Although the Inn is quite old, inside of building is clean and organized and our room is very clean as well. I am a neat freak so very clean counter top surface, bathroom and floors will always get high points from me. The staff are all very friendly and respectful. I do like the old architectural inn charm because of the library and game room (filled with fun puzzles). It’s a quiet & layback place. Thus, if you prefer high activity and loud place to stay, this is not your place.

We love Bellmoor. We stay in hostels in Rehoboth a few times a year - this one is by far the best for a high-end stay (which is very challenging in this area!). We did have a potential issue with a lost item during our last visit but Danny from management helped me to chase it down and make sure we were thoroughly taken care of. Thanks to that assistance, we will continue to be loyal to Bellmoor for years to come.

The hotel and grounds are lovely. There’s a garden courtyard in the middle that is a beautiful retreat from the busy area. There’s staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The breakfast was fabulous! Would stay here again in a minute. It was a wonderful weekend!

Lovely hotel, staff was on point. The rooms are decent sized and nice. Close to restaurants and a couple of blocks from the Main Street and boardwalk.

My husband and I have stayed at this inn a few times before, and we’ve always loved it. The property was beautiful, the atmosphere relaxing, and the staff genuinely wonderful. Because of those great experiences, we rebooked this year and even encouraged family members to join us. Unfortunately, this stay was a big disappointment. The room didn’t feel clean — the rugs had an unpleasant smell, and we only had body wash available to use at the sink, which felt like a basic oversight. One of our favorite spots used to be the cozy library room in the main building, but this time the shelves were nearly empty. The garden, which once felt so inviting, looked neglected. The fire pit was broken and unusable, and the tables had been removed, leaving just a few scattered chairs that didn’t make much sense. Even the pool areas didn’t feel clean or cared for. The staff we interacted with were friendly, but overall the service didn’t match the high standard we were used to — or what you’d expect from a hotel at this price point. It was honestly embarrassing that we had encouraged our family to book here based on how special the inn used to be. I did reach out to management during our stay. The manager responded and said he was concerned and would call me on a specific day to talk more. I appreciated that — but unfortunately, the call never came.
