Tough to cover everything - this is now my favorite hotel in the USA. The location is great, the hotel rooms, lobby, restaurant are all very nice. The staff is great - friendly, accommodating but not overly so. The restaurant Stars is very good - both dinner and breakfast were perfect. This is an expensive hotel that is actually worth the cost.

This is such an extraordinary place, it's hard to know where to begin. The gardens stretch on and on and each is magnificent. We had a lovely room where you could walk out to your private patio and then the massive grounds lay before you, beautifully landscaped and directly on the water. The staff is the most caring ever seen and all is wonder.

This hotel really has every detail down and it was exactly the pampering experience I had hoped for. The staff are so professional yet discreet and the grounds and hotel itself are beautifully maintained. Worth the price!

Our bed was delivered 2 hours before we arrived. Everything in our room was new from the carpet to the frame around the fireplace. The sleepy Inn at Commodore Matthew Perry's Cabin is waking up as serious dollars are being spent and the effect is evident at every turn. The nicest new feature in our room which faces the water and is next to the walking path are the shutters that provide as much of little privacy as we wanted. Outside we noticed four welcoming fire pits and the refurbished boat dock. The new wallpaper is tasteful and a significant upgrade as was every change we noticed. We drove by the golf course which is now owned by the same group that owns the Inn and could see that it also will be vastly improved. St Michaels needs the Inn and now has so much more to be grateful for.

Perry Cabin lives up to the hype! I give it the highest ratings I've given to a any of our many excursions. It's location on the bay is sensational, its staff is attentive without being obsequious, it's a "classy joint"! Having driven up from North Carolina in one fell swoop, we arrived tired and irascible. My wife and I were quickly whisked to a lovely room overlooking a lawn, water and yachts. Dinner was impeccable with pate de foie gras and oysters with a mignonette sauce. Perfect. Of course, as we are on the Chesapeake Bay, we both ordered crab cakes. Light, lump meat served with a fresh succotash seasoned with saffron (I think). One Creme Brûlée to cap the evening off which my wife had to fend me off of! This all came at a costly cost... with tip $230! Expensive but worth it.
