TOP NOTCH quality and service! ASK FOR BARBIE EVANS in STARS restaurant. She’s the most charming lady ever. Ride bikes into town and dine at THEO’s steakhouse. Best filet mignon in the world. Ice cream at Justine’s. Go sailing with Captain David at Inn.

Stayed here three years ago and it was amazing. Unfortunately it did not live up to previous standards this past weekend. Here's the summary: Stars restaurant is sub-par though service is great. The dining room was lacking atmosphere and was half empty for a Saturday. Property is showing it's age. Rooms are expensive and despite the request for a early check in for a one night stay... we still didn't get our room till just before regular checkin time at 4. I had requested something special for our room upon arrival that was forgotten. AND we had a full blown wedding reception outside our $$$$$ suite. Why go to the country? We will unlikely ever come back. Simply not worth it.

We were on vacation in Chesapeake Bay and went to Stars, the restaurant at Inn at Perry Cabin, for lunch. The inn is very charming and the restaurant was terrific. The dining room is simple yet elegant and we had a view of the river and all the boats from our table. Crab is the local specialty and my crab cakes were melt in your mouth delicious. Our server, Linda, was both attentive and delightful. When we commented on how much we loved the crab, she even found out where we could buy fresh crab in town to take home. We splurged on bread pudding for dessert.... Highly recommended!!

My husband recently attended a three-day Medical Board Conference at the Inn at Perry Cabin. Several meals were served to all in attendance including their spouses or significant other. The food was excellent but the waitstaff was superb, particularly Barbie Evans and a fellow named Terry. These two individuals stood-out for being so efficient, friendly, and accommodating. Obviously, these are expected characteristics of waitstaff, but these two went out of their way to please. Dale Rauch

We stayed at The Inn during a recent trip to St. Michael's for a wedding, which was at The Inn. For a stucture built in 1816, it's holding up well, with all the bells and whistles you would expect. But at nearly $800 per night, we were expecting far more. At these rates, we won't be back. Perhaps if sailing is your first love and you must have a spot for your boat, this is your place. But for us land lubbers, there are simply not enough attractions in St. Michaels to lure us back to The Inn at Perry Cabin, regardless of how soft those towels were.
