Reviews for Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond
We fell in love with the property. My review coincides with most of the other positive reviews. but as mentioned by others, there's a strange language disconnect between guests and staff. In doing a little research, apparently a lot of the staff is from Europe, working here while studying for degrees in the hospitality industry. Everyone is very pleasant, but when you make a request, it's a long time coming, and is often misinterpreted. Ask for a bucket of ice, you end up with a large bowl of ice cream. 10 scoops! :-) So, if you can go with the flow, and things like that won't bother you, I think you'll love it. They are also pet friendly and we brought both our dogs. $250 Non-refundable fee, but that is too be expected, and they are truly pet friendly. (Unlike other hotels that promote it, but frown upon you). We booked an evening sail and ended up being the only couple on the boat, and it was a wonderful sail. The Captain was super friendly and knowledgeable. We also took out kayaks and enjoyed that as well. There was a small business group there for one night and they were a bit loud, didn't bother us, but ASK about events, because also as others have mentioned, I can't imagine staying here when there is a wedding or large event. (Sort of defeats the purpose of a quiet getaway) so Make sure you ask about that! Liked it enough to go back again!

Fabulous get away at the Inn at Perry Cabin! I have wanted to go here for years and the Inn did not disappoint! The building and grounds are beautiful. Lots of gorgeous flowers and plants. The front lawn has fire pits and Adirondack chairs for relaxing. The pool was great! They have a pool bar for food and beverage service. Our room was large and spacious, with a balcony and huge bathroom that had a soaking tub. We could hear people walking around above us at times, the floor was creaky but it didn't disturb us. The Stars restaurant was fantastic for breakfast and dinner. St. Michael's is really close. The Inn has bikes to borrow and also valet car rides to and from town which is great especially in the evening! They have several gorgeous boats and we had a terrific two hour sail with Captain Sean. We also loved the spa! Great massages and beautiful spa. FYI They do not have an ATM machine on property and the few in town run out of cash fast. I would definitely go back!

The Inn at Perry Cabin is very upscale. The public areas and the private rooms are beautifully furnished. Service is superb. Every staff person I encountered greeted me cheerfully which made me feel welcomed. Food at the Star restaurant was excellent. The first evening I was there I was to meet some friends at the Crab Claw restaurant. When I asked at the front desk where the restaurant was, they immediately offered to take me there. What a relief not to have to get in my car and try to find the restaurant in the dark!

We stayed here for our anniversary, and the staff made it a truly special experience with a welcome package, special attention, and an upgrade! The view was gorgeous, the suite was very well appointed and extremely comfortable. The hotel was absolutely perfect!
This is a place to just relax. Beautiful setting by the river. Ask for a first floor room. You will have a little patio, or walk right out to the chairs by the water. Rooms are large and comfortable. Park your car and leave it for the weekend. You can walk into town to eat or shop.
