We decided to have a getaway weekend to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We choose the Inn at Perry Cabin due to proximity and because we have had excellent results in other Belmond hotels (Charleston, Cambodia & Peru). This property did not disappoint. It may be our #2 in this chain. We had a lovely junior suite overlooking the bay. The room was bright and spacious. The furnishings were comfortable and plentiful. The bathroom with two sinks, a separate shower and tub and enclosed toilet was welcomed. We even liked the number of dresser drawers and hangers for clothes. Our package included breakfast each day and a credit in the restaurant and/or pub. We found both the restaurant (for breakfast) and the pub (cocktails, snacks and lite dinner) enjoyable and welcoming. We only wish it would have been able to use our deck but alas 17-25 degree days was not conducive to outside seating. We are already planning another getaway to Perry Cabin but the next time in the fall.

Lovely grounds, even in winter. Room was nice but showed signs of wear on the furniture. The only mirror was right across from the toilet. Full length! Bathtub would not hold water and mold was visible under the drain mechanism. Toilet would keep running unless handle was jiggled. What good is a fireplace you can't use? We could however get smoke smells from lower floor fireplaces .Great breakfast although would never again spend 30.00 each on the buffet. Dining room and pub food was expensive and mediocre $50.00 for crab cakes? Belmond needs to review this property.

It is hard to beat the Inn at Perry Cabin as a place to stay on the Maryland part of the Chesapeake Bay. A boutique resort, the Inn at Perry Cabin is well kept, has great ambiance, very comfortable well furnished rooms and a friendly staff that goes the extra mile. Dining is nice with good food with waterfront views. It is a great place for a weekend getaway. As an extra, St. Michaels is a nice small shore town town worth exploring that also has an interesting maritime museum.

We spent New Years Eve at Perry Cabin—our second stay in 2017. The room (we had a waterfront suite) and grounds are really lovely but service was quite frankly subpar. Some of the staff were really wonderful but overall it was not a five star experience unfortunately. Despite requesting a crib when we reserved the room and reminding the front desk at check in, when we arrived in our suite there was no crib. Room service was truly disappointing—didn’t pick up the phone, calls were routed to the front desk, back to room service and so on for a bit. Three times out of three the order was incorrect—twice the wrong food altogether (we ordered a kale, feta, wheat berry and almond salad off the menu and instead got a salad with goat cheese and chicken, no almonds, no wheat berry—twice!) and once one item was missing. Considering the category of hotel and price point I would expect nothing less than a perfect stay. I must say I would think twice about returning.

We have stayed several times at The Inn at Perry Cabin - always over the holiday season (we visited by boat once in the summer - another wonderful adventure). And, we are always treated royally by the very solicitous staff. From the festive decorations to the beautiful rooms, to the restaurant and delicious meals, to the staff, we have the highest compliments for them all. One fun activity we enjoy each year is the tandem bicycle. Residents can just borrow an Inn bicycle (and helmet) from the rack out front to take into town for shopping, lunch (oysters) and sightseeing. Most of the sleepy back streets connect, so you are not on the main road very long. This includes the wonderful Maritime Museum right next door (you could walk there as well). This year's trip was especially memorable due to the upgrade for our anniversary. The ever-attentive staff made us feel very special indeed. We have very happy memories of our visits here.
