Reviews for Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond
The innkeeper of the B&B we were staying in recommended we visit this place for lunch. After arriving we decided not to have lunch but thought drinks by the water would be nice. The bar staff were approachable, friendly and knowledgeable of the property. We were given our drinks and a bowl of nuts and told to go enjoy the property. I cannot comment on the food as we had none but lots of people we talked to enjoyed their lunches. Will have to come and stay so we can make further comments as a later time...

My entire family stayed at this property for two nights over Easter weekend. And we had three large dogs with us. The hotel could not have been more accomadating. My wife and I had a one bedroom suite with a balcony overlooking the water, and my adult children's rooms were each very nice. The entire stay was very relaxing. We walked into town with our dogs for coffee in the morning (10 minutes) and again each night for dinner. The first evening, we ate at a relaxed pub and the second, we ate Italian. They were each quite nice. The grounds are beautiful. Our dogs liked running around, and there was plenty of isolated room for that. We ate breakfast both mornings at the hotel, and it was excellent. The room has great views.

The food was good but not outstanding ie. the risotto seemed a little "al dente" or undercooked. Food prices seemed a little high for the portion size with wine prices more so. The presentation of the food was lovely but the service was somewhat spotty with water glasses not being refilled when empty and the bread basket only being brought around once. There were several bread options which looked interesting and it was brought around again after requesting but so slow we were finished with the meal. That being said, it was during the off season and perhaps a training period or not enough staff although there were less than ten or so diners at one time in the dining room. The surroundings were serene, an enjoyable experience but just not quite worth the price.

Stayed here one night for work and booked another night the next weekend to celebrate a birthday in the family! The service was perfect, grounds looking top notch and a bed more comfortable than most. You can’t go wrong with Inn at Perry Cabin!

Pros: Beautiful room, lovely view, friendly service. Cons: Broken toilet, non-functioning bathtub, neither problem resolved satisfactorily by management. We stayed two nights in their nicest room on a winter package @ $800/night. This room came with two bathrooms: a full and a half. The toilet in the full did not flush. The tub did not hold water. We reported it at desk after our first night there, and they said they'd fix it while we were out, which they did not. We reported it again on our second night and they offered to send a plumber (which we did not want to deal with at night) or move us (which we did not want to do on our last night because it would involve packing twice). I expected the fix to be a reduced rate -- at least two the next lower room rate, but all they offered was $100 off total ($50/night). Left messages for operations person. He left messages back, along with a very lame email, but no one ever offered any better of a fix. We're also certain that the bill was all wrong and I asked for them to explain it but all they did was send another copy of it. Very little effort. I don't expect broken toilets and tubs at $800 a night. It shouldn't be up to guests to inform them of their maintenance issues. Belmond at other locations have been great. This one is not up to par.
