Reviews for Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond
This place gets everything wrong despite the price you are paying. I planned a surprise trip to St. Michael's for my husband's birthday and arranged a private boat trip on a special boat weeks in advance. I even called a few days ahead of time to ensure that everything was set (I've learned not to trust people to get things right). The night before I also arranged for food and champagne for our trip...Birthday comes and we arrive and the boat I reserved is leaving the dock with other people. The food/drink is nowhere to be found. I have to ask why the boat I reserved is gone and where is the food?! For the price I'm paying everything should be set up and ready. We end up having to go out on one of the boats that is used for group tours. After all of that, I get the bill and they've added extra fees that they can not explain (not the resort fee and taxes which I was expecting). Extra costs were also added to the food bill which I have yet to get an explanation for. It also took me 2 weeks of calling every day to even see that food receipt. This was an extremely frustrating experience and we will never be returning. Beautiful grounds but this should not be a 5 star hotel given the incompetency I experienced.

My husband and I checked in on Monday, 8/14 at 4:45 pm and our room was ready. The room was immaculate (room 35). Staff and management were friendly. I would highly recommend The Inn at Perry Cabin. Our stay was very enjoyable. The only two issues were the 16.00 per night for valet parking and toast has a separate fee at breakfast. Enjoyed the pool and the snack bar. Also, the grounds are gorgeous.

Stayed for a long weekend that included a dinner birthday celebration in the Miles Room for 20 of us. The dinner buffet was absolutely delicious - such creative, fresh food - included jumbo lump crab cakes and beef ribeye. Had a drinks reception on the Miles Room terrace beforehand with coconut shrimp, chicken satay and mini cups of risotto. The service at the dinner, reception and the entire weekend was superb. Kim the events manager was so helpful in planning all this long distance - she is such a professional. Bev the Banquet Captain and her team were extraordinary in taking care of us all evening. Our boat ride on Sunday evening on a Hinkley with Captain Sean and his crew was more icing on the cake! A wonderful memory for us all!

4th visit to this property and after this last getaway I will not be returning. Management was unprofessional, rude, and not accommodating. Had to wait 3 hours for our room on a Wednesday evening and received a drink ticket for compensation.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the staff was very friendly. The most frustrating thing for us was being there for only one night and our room not being ready until 4pm (check in is 3pm and we got there at 10:30am). Once we finally got to our room it took an hour for them to bring us our ONE bag despite us calling 3 times. The manager felt bad and brought us a free drink but honestly, I'd expect more for such an inconvenience. He did apologize but also threw his co-workers under the bus saying that 'some people that shall go unnamed, don't take the initiative to make sure that guests are taken care of.' Anyway, this 2-hour delay prevented us from going to the pool and enjoying the short time we had there which was only further saddening as it rained the entire next day. I would go back but I'd hope that management can do something more for guests when largely inconvenienced then sling around free drink tickets. Knowing that our one night was over $600 I'd expect a discount...or at least them waiving the resort fee since that got taken away from us.
