A long overdue return to this marvelous inn. Simpson House is outstanding in every way. Beautiful, tranquil, immaculately tended grounds. Well appointed rooms, comfortable and quiet rooms (our stays have included Pendle Cottage, Tack Room, Weathervane, and Hayloft). Impeccable, indeed flawless service from top management to housekeeping and all staff in between. Without slighting anyone we fail to name, top kudos to General Manager Haley, and house staff Karen, Richard, Corin, Frank, and Gabriel. A perfect stay.

My husband and I got married at the Inn last weekend. It was the best wedding weekend we could've asked for. The Inn is located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, but you would never know it when you're at the property. It feels like you're in a Hallmark movie the moment you enter the property. When you walk into your room classical music is playing and there are personalized touches to welcome you. We worked with the general manager, Haley, for over a year while planning our wedding. She and all the staff are absolutely amazing. They're kind and accommodating. The breakfast and snacks they offer are delicious. I especially loved the chocolate chip cookies they put out in the evening. Our immediate families stayed at the Inn as well and were constantly complimenting the staff, grounds, and it's convenient walking distance to downtown. It was the perfect spot to enjoy our wedding weekend with our family. We can't wait to come back!

Very special place with beautiful grounds. The linens and pillows were exquisite. Pricey. Hors d’oeuvres were a special treat, but not much for vegetarians.

Rachel and Haley were delightful, our stay was over the top and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent stay. We woke up to a great breakfast delivered to our doorstep and after a day on the town, we came back to a clean hotel room to sleep in!

Exquisite food, aesthetically presented, graciously served in an historic setting. Best breakfasts ever, and truly delicious appetizers! Rooms and grounds carefully maintained. All the staff are so hospitable and personable! One of a kind experience! Can’t wait to return.
