My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it exceeded ALL of our expectations. The accommodations and grounds are charming, excellent linens, fancy delicious food, appetizers and wine galore and on and on. The staff could not have been more friendly. We cannot recommend it enough.

I've traveled a lot, yet this bed & breakfast is my all-time favorite. The rooms are lovely Victorian style spaces with comfortable beds. I stayed in a room with a patio, and at no extra cost, the staff had our breakfast delivered to our room so we could eat at the private table on our patio. It was beyond lovely. The staff is courteous and helpful. The grounds are serene and beautiful. Downtown Santa Barbara is a five-minute walk from the Simpson House Inn, but when you're at the inn, you feel as though you're miles away. It's perfect for a romantic get-away, which is why my husband and I have gone there for our wedding anniversary a couple of times. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

This Inn has such attention to detail. Everything is taken care of and you feel spoilt from the minute you arrive at the gorgeous 19th century Inn set within immaculate gardens, to the moment you (very reluctantly) leave. The staff are attentive but respect the guests privacy. Breakfast tables are set up in the stunning living room, on the verandah and in the conservatory giving the feeling of being guests in an exclusive country home. There are chairs and loungers throughout the landscaped gardens providing private spaces for guests to relax. The rooms have a lovely old world charm and breakfast is delicious. I can't recommend this place highly enough for the comfort, beauty of the surroundings and excellent service. If you're going to Santa Barbara treat yourself and stay at Simpson House Inn. You won't regret it.

This is a private guest house / boutique hotel that has been lovingly cared for and restored over the years. With all the modern amenities - speedy wifi , net flicks etc - it is also incredibly peaceful and calm - the terraces and garden are divine. The cottages are well appointed and comfortable with lots of space.

We stayed two nights in this beautiful hotel. The staff were so friendly and the overall feel was of being in a part of old England! We were made to feel very special - everything was personalised - down to the breakfast menus! The breakfasts were sublime - served in elegant style. The gardens are very relaxing and tranquil I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Santa Barbara it is convenient for all the attractions but such a nice place to go!
