The location was excellent - we walked EVERYWHERE in old Santa Fe and down Canyon Road. The restaurant was delicious - I went back for the chorizo and shrimp appetizer a second time, it was so good! The service was outstanding - we walked into the hotel carrying some garbage from the car and someone offered to take it and throw it out for us - and we were only a few steps in the door! The valet service was included and people were so nice and kind and accommodating! We had one small problem with the room and it was fixed immediately! Everyone was polite, professional and courteous. We had a lovely stay.

I came here for a conference without doing any of my usual advance planning, and had no idea what to expect. I think this is the nicest overall venue I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at for a meeting, and would be ideal for a pleasure visit. Perfect location. Each staff member was truly friendly and helpful and competent. The decor is beautiful, and left me no doubt about being in Santa Fe without feeling like they were trying. I would have gladly brought much of the artwork home with me. The rooms are very spacious, the beds and linens super comfortable, and all amenities provided for. I like sleeping with the window open, and it was absolutely quiet enough to do this and hear abundant morning birdsong. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review was how loud the heating/air unit was—woke us up each time until we turned it off. The meeting rooms did not have an institutional feel but were well appointed and totally functional, and the catering provided was fresh, plentiful and had lots of options. I also love that they have complimentary coffee in the lobby from 7-9am daily. I am sick of “resort/luxury” hotels making me stand in line to BUY coffee first thing in the morning. The bar and lounge was like a very cozy lodge; very welcoming to sit and visit colleagues, enjoy excellent live music and great wine and margaritas. The weather did not quite cooperate for me to take advantage of the great outdoor spaces and chaise lounges around the pool...but I have a hunch I will return for pleasure since I wasn’t able to fully explore this area.

Hotel is stunning when you first pull in. Very picturesque and lends itself to the most amazing shots. All throughout the day the classic adobe architecture changes colours in the sun and looks very majestic. Valet service was sporadic, at times they were MIA for too long, other times they were super eager to help out. Check in was fine. room was great, surprisingly spacious and well appointed. Had a good sized balcony/terrace and a decorative fireplace, enough seating areas for 3, large and comfy king bed and a well appointed bathroom (albeit the toiletries were the kind that were permanently installed to the shower wall - always feels and looks a bit tacky). General upkeep of hotel needs some work, maybe a deep shampoo of all carpeting as the hallways had a musty smell, common area/bar space needs a Reno as it feels a little dated. Pool area should be kept up impeccably and flawless instead towel supply was depleted, pool had lots of little buggies, etc. Cannot comment on spa or restaurant unfortunately because we did not get the chance to indulge but they looked nice. Location was perfect, an easy walk to absolutely everything in town. Ditched the car and never needed it for the entire 2 day stay. We stopped in at the sister hotel, eldorado. While that seemed much newer and flashy, it was maybe more modern and less traditional. Not in a bad sense, just matter of preference. Our rate got us access to a new great hip and trendy bar/club at eldorado which I would recommend considering the Santa Fe nightlife seemed a tad bit lacking. Our hotel bar didn’t seem like a destination spot, tho they should revamp that.

This hotel is incredible. Full of history, in the middle of everything in Santa Fe, and has plenty to do on the grounds. The local famous market is right next door and the world-class spa and shops are downstairs. The rooms are uniquely and authentically decorated and we even had a room overlooking a delightful courtyard and church. I will say I had a massage at the spa and was not impressed for the price. I would say avoid the spa and spend your time in local museums and soaking the amazing culture.

Have stayed here several times. The location is close enough to the square for convenience without being right in the middle of the drama. It has a lovely pool and lobby with cool bar and happy hour. The painting in the rooms is really elegant. I was bummed we had an oddly broken off toilet cover propped up against the wall for the full 3 days we stayed. Gross....the room was very clean, but they should have fixed it or taken it away. I probably wouldn’t have even noticed it was missing....but displayed against the wall was too icky. Other than that bizarre thing, it was great. The restaurant there, Luminaria, is outstanding and delivers their room service!
