Reviews for Inn and Spa at Loretto

Great place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Loretto. The room was nicely decorated, clean and our room was quiet. The location is perfect. Our room had a beautiful terrace. The only fault I could find was the food in the restaurant was not great. We ordered steel cut oats for breakfast one morning and they were definitely instant. Dinner was also underwhelming. But, there are also lots of great restaurants nearby. (The Compond, for a special occasion, is fantastic. I thought the hotel was good value.

An EXPERIENCE to remember!

Just came back from a 50th birthday trip for one of my friends and had a wonderful time! The property felt historic and welcoming. Once we checked in and got to our rooms, the excitement simmered a little. Upgrades are needed in the rooms so I am glad to hear they are renovating. Not horrible but certainly noticed. Our birthday girl is a planner by heart so my P.O.V. could be different as she gave us a curated experience with help from the Loretto. Location: steps from stores and shops, it was the best location. There was also festival so we stayed in the area a little longer. Food: The first night we arrived, she had food by the pool set up and everything was so good. I can still taste the coconut shrimp and sliders with avacado. From the coffee shop to the restaurants in the hotel, I have no complaints. Every meal was a good one! The last night, we had a special 3 course dinner, in one of the restaurants and it was set up so beautifully. Again, the food was good. Drinks: Fav is the Strawberry Jalepeno Margarita. Our host had a signature cocktail throughout our stay as well. No complaints on the drinks. Next time I will try the recommended Espesso Martini. Expect to spend close to $20 on a cocktail. Spa: Bites and Fruit were set up for us after our massage sessions. Nic was 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. He recommend places to go and drinks. The spa was lil pricey but worth it. Yoga/Gym: We had a private class with the yoga instructor who was amazing! The view made that session extra special. I made my way to the gym prior to and probably worked out a total of 15 min. It's past the parking lot and although the equipment was up to date, the room was not. Dire need of upgrades. Did not want to continue my workout. My first time in New Mexico and I had a beautiful and connected experience. I know how much of a "experience appreciator" my friend is and Loretto made us feel welcomed and appreciated.

The price does not reflect the value

Stayed at the Loretta on a girls trip to Santa Fe. The property is terribly outdated and worn. The room we were staying in did not have air conditioning. Initially we were offered a fan. I suggested that we’d be moved to another room. To their credit, they provided us with a different room with a slight Upgrade, which we appreciated. However, the upgraded was filthy. We could not locate the remote control for the TV and looked everywhere. We finally looked under the bed and found french fries, cookie crumbs and the remote. The carpeting is terribly old and tattered. The curtains are worn and tattered, paint coming off the walls and doors, bathroom fixtures appear to be from the 1970s. The pool was the highlight for us. I do not recommend this property at all.

50th Anniversary Trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We helped book a 50th wedding anniversary trip for my brother in law and his wife and one leg of the trip was a stay at The Inn at Lorreto. Isiah treated them extra special including upgrading their lodging, free breakfast and even covered in room drinks and dessert that we ordered. They said this made their trip and they loved the accommodations. THANK YOU ISIAH!!

Pictures of room choices are not correct!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

A great location with good amenities. Beware of booking rooms based on pictures. We booked a vista grande room in order to have the “sitting area” shown in the pictures (loveseat, chairs). Based on pictures we were given a terrazzo king, in which the sitting area was two big chairs shoved up against the end of the bed (a minefield to navigate around in the dark!!). We questioned it at the front desk and were told we had what we had reserved, that pictures were not correct, and that the promised sitting area was indeed the two chairs. Overall ok, but could have used the extra room we expected for work. Pool and restaurant were nice.
