We visited Mirbeau for the weekend, and I couldn't have been more excited to arrive. I had heard it was a less expensive Canyon Ranch. The big difference is the customer service. When we walked in, the registration/check-in attendant was on a phone call for a solid 2-3 minutes before he acknowledged our presence. It was a little awkward and a terrible first impression. After we checked in, he race-walked us to our room. Once we got there, we were pleasantly surprised by the space, fireplace, bathroom (great tub!) and amazing mattress. Also, he did generously send chocolate covered strawberries as an anniversary gift. My husband enjoyed a terrific massage (deep tissue) and I had a facial (collagen), and the spa staff was accommodating and kind. I loved my facial! The breakfast was delicious and waitstaff accommodating. The housekeeping was meh. Turn down service arrived when I was napping, and when I answered the door to two young housekeepers, I asked if they could come back later. Their reply was "no. We can only do it now." Not the response I would have expected. Back at the restaurant, the wait staff was quite accommodating to allow us (after the host needing to ask management permission??!) to sit in the fire place room and enjoy some hor duerves. We were hoping to rent a DVD player or some vehicle to allow for movie rentals, and the same front desk clerk who race walked us to our room was quick to say they didn't offer that nor was he solution oriented. Lots of "no" answers at Mirbeau with the exception of the waitstaff.

Peferct get off the grid, read a book and be pampered spa. Accommodations are beautiful, food was fantastic. My only complaint was the spa treatments. The massage was great but the facial was so so at best. I expected better for costing double what I pay locally and I get a better facial that includes hand massage and warm mitts at my local spa. I think it's because the esthetician that I got was very young and didn't seem to have much experience. But overall I recommend I would go again if I got a raving referral for a very good esthetician.

I stayed here for a girls weekend with a few members from my family. The hotel is gorgeous and well kept. We had 3 rooms total and 1 of the rooms was not ready until after 3, which would have been more inconvenient had we not had the other 2 rooms. I did not book any spa services, but did use the hot tub and foot spa. The hot tub was great, but really small. The food was out of this world delicious. Everyone loved their dinners and breakfast, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan option at dinner. I would definitely come back just for dinner.

Ok / not thrilled with management or housekeeping! Positives: lovely building and grounds, food and wait staff is amazing, spa, spa setting, services, amenities and staff - love!!!, beds comfy, pillows and linens very nice, rooms lovely. Negatives: housekeeping does a lousy job, rooms are sprayed with a very fake chemical supposed fresh smell that is disgusting and if you have perfume or flower allergies you will suffer (I don't but the smell is fake and irritating and fortunately it was nice enough out yo open windows and air out). Checkout was a nightmare- billed incorrectly for spa service- took 10-15 minutes to correct and even then ended up calling billing the following day because it still wasn't correct - also, the bill is very difficult to understand - and that was confirmed by corporate billing. I contacted Guest Relations Manager at this location and let her know I had been there before, and gave her my "constructive criticism ", offered photos to support and told her it was meant to help make Mirbeau better- No response- re-submitted same a day or two later, no response (even sent pictures that time) - so I then called CEO who then contacted Guest Relations (should have title of "Guest Non- relations"- she was then "forced" to respond and I got a cookie cutter letter - could have been sent to anybody- not personalized, did not acknowledge any of my comments- very, very lame especially for a high end resort . And if I look at Trip Advisor I saw that she responded personally to others (fyi I am not talking about Natalie Ward- besides she responds extremely well by actually referring yo what you said, she left in early April or late March) -Patty McPherson is Guest Relations /Resort Manager- in title only, not in actions. Would have to really think before I rebooked here-

The place is an outstanding place to visit. Beautiful location with an excellent service and hospitality level. The following staff members have to be highlighted. Chef Coe, Scott and Jeremy created three outstanding quality dishes for us in the kitchen. Also Ashley did a great job at the bar. We will be back and can only highly recommend this value and quality destination. Don't miss to have a look at the beautiful Spa as well
