Tracy Picardi, Restaurant Manager, exemplifies the qualities you would expect from Mirbeau Inn. What makes Ms. Picardi exceptional is her professional demeanor goes above and beyond what is expected. Tracy is kind, courteous and gracious. My extended stay at the Inn has provided countless opportunities to dine at the Bistro for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tracy greets me each morning like I am family. Her tact, charm and generosity of spirit has made me feel comfortable and well cared for.

I did not avail myself to the Spa services, but in general I think my wife was happy with her services. My concerns relate to service, and quality of the food. Spent one night here, and in general the service and the food were both lackluster. We experienced three meals at the "bistro" here. My wife had lunch with her group and it took nearly two hours to get thru lunch, with acceptable food, and service no where to be found. I would give this a "B". We (2 people) sat down at outdoor bar at about 3pm on a lovely friday, which had 4-5 people standing around it, to be told that they weren't open, but we could get drinks. Interesting dialogue, included ordering and being handed cocktails they were clearly experimenting with (and frankly not well.) Just an odd experience. Had dinner with a small group (7 people) in a reasonably slow restaurant for a friday night, and both my food (pork chop which was very overcooked) and my wive's food, "carpaccio" which was brought out 15 minutes after all other entrees, and the slices of carpaccio were frozen on the plate? How do you do this in a high end restaurant? they did take the frozen carpaccio off the bill, to their credit. Frankly I wasn't searching for a discount, I was looking for a nice dinner with my group of friends. I would give this a "C". Maybe a C+ because the waitress was reasonably attentive, but how can you screw up multiple meals, in what is supposed to be a high end place. I had breakfast the following morning, and the bacon was "meh" and the ham/gruyere omelet was just ok, didn't seem like real eggs. Service attentiveness was acceptable. I am celiac, and no gluten free bread/rolls/muffins were available. Which was a slight disappointment, normally a spa hotel would accommodate a bit more. The thing that put me over the edge that at 830am on a Saturday morning, the leaf blowers were going in the parking lot right next to the restaurant, pretty much ruining the tranquility of the nicely setup courtyard. In general the prices were fair, and to be expected in a place like this and the room was nice. Having spent many nights this year traveling in nice(RC, WA, Belmond) and standard(hilton/marriot/etc..) , this was well below my expectation for the rate and the undeserved reputation.

We booked a 2 night stay. No one every came to clean our room after many visits to the front desk. I received the WORST pedicure ever and paid 90 plus tip..never again. If you saw the pictures of my toes you would be shocked. My sister's nails chipped while in the hot tub. We ordered very expensive room service and the food was so salty we could not finish it. This is not a spa destination and not worth the expense at all.

Came here for a girls weekend and we had a great time. The food in the restaurant was good and the spa amenities were excellent. I got a facial from Heather and it was sooooo relaxing I could have stayed there for hours! After the facial the girls and I hung out by the foot bath and then we went outside on the lounge chairs and sat by a little fire pit and drank cocktails. It was perfect!

We live in upstate NY so we had been to the Mirbeau in Skaneateles many times over the years. It was always a great place to go for a quiet weekend getaway on the lake in the summer or in the winter for the "Charles Dickens" weekends the town sponsors. We had an opportunity for a last minute Memorial Day Weekend trip and knew that Mirbeau also had a location in Plymouth Mass., a stones throw away from the Cape. We decided to give it a try and it was well worth the trip. For the most part they duplicated the original structure right down to the Koi ponds, beams and fireplaces in the guest rooms and the dining area over looking the pond. The added benefit of the Plymouth Mass location is that everything else has been updated and is brand new. We had a short drive to any number of historic sites like Plimoth Plantation and Plymouth Rock and an easy ferry ride to Martha's Vineyard as a day trip. It might be a bit on the expensive side if only used as over night accommodations but it is well worth the additional fare if you plan to squeeze in a few SPA services though. If you are looking for a combination of relaxing SPA amenities, romantic surroundings and fun or historic day trips with numerous dining and bar venues to choose from then this is the place for you.
