Reviews for Mirbeau Inn & Spa
I tried Mirbeau for a day trip during the week since they were having a special -- buy one treatment and get the second half off. The facility is very pretty, and easy to get to from the Boston area, less than 50 minutes. I would say their strength is the food, service and the spa treatments. I took two classes from their regular fitness schedule line up. The spin class was OK, in a very odd set up around the perimeter of a room with no windows. I also took a core class, which was challenging. If you are comparing this to someplace like canyon ranch, it's not fair, especially on fitness. CR has a multitude of classes in a very large facility. But, since Mirbeau has gym memberships for people in the area, I would think they would have a pretty strong fitness calendar. The amenities in the locker room are nice - toiletries, eucalyptus steam room, lockers, showers, etc. Beware the steam room is crazy hot! The treatment waiting area is great, very relaxing and quiet, plus they offer prosecco! All in all you can make a great day of it with exercise, a meal, relaxing and spa treatments.

After having been there several times for spa treatments, I had my first not so great visit there today. The place was packed- good for them but not so good for someone wanting to relax- hardly enough places to sit or recline in the relaxing area and the noise level was that of a restaurant at lunch time. The robes that once were "awesome" had seen better days ( and did not have a pleasant smell ) , some of the iced facecloths had some tears in them, the restroom was not as spiffy as it once had been...the price was the same though and for that I would expect better! 2 employees were discussing something in the ladies' locker room and were oblivious to the fact that they were totally in the way ...asking once for them to let me pass...no problem, but twice ? My treatment was supposed to last 50 minutes, but I was done after 45- at the cost of my treatment plus 20% tip that is a loss of $20 for me. When I checked out, I was not asked by the staff if I had liked my visit, only if I wanted to purchase the product they had used.
I visited the spa for the first time today. I arrived 2 hours before my scheduled massage appointment to take advantage of the relaxation room, the warm foot soak ,the steam room, the outdoor jacuzzi and a glass of wine. My massage therapist was Keri and she was fantastic. Having been a massage therapist myself for over 15 years, I can say it was one of the best massages I've ever had. Fabulous. After my massage I repeated my morning by using the steam room again, the jacuzzi again, reclining in the relaxation room, sitting by the fireplace reading and having another glass of wine. I can't wait to go back.
I'm not sure where to begin. The facilities certainly are beautiful and the food was ok. The acoustics of the room used for the event was terrible. Made it very difficult to hear the actors. The group that put on the production was weak. The wait staff was not very efficient, many patrons went to the bar themselves to get drinks. The bartender was not able to stay on top of demand. Definitely overpriced for what was offered. I understand your spa does well, but I would certainly not recommend attending other events.

Spent the day at Mirabeau. Very relaxing day!! Enjoyed the Mirabeau ritual, lunch at the Bistro, a manicure and a pedicure. Linda and Fran were both amazing! Enjoyed the facility very much. The lounge area was very nice, and locker room facilities and amenities were great.
