They think of everything here, down to giving you the weather forecast for the coming day at breakfast. The food was amazing, the bed was incredibly comfortable, best sleep of my trip, and the staff was amazing. I wished I had booked my stay longer!!

This is a fabulous Hotel! My husband and I spent one night on May 10th and we were very impressed with the hotel, its staff and service. We stayed at one of their front rooms and it was indeed beautiful! Fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, High bed, and an exquisite touch to the décor. Their staff was very friendly and helpful, service was excellent. They offered free appetizers in the afternoon and free breakfast, prepared by a Chef, both delicious. It offers free Wi Fi in your room and the lobby. I highly recommend this place.

The room was fairly spacious and comfortable. The four poster bed was so big you needed a step to get onto it. The hotel is in a nice location. Breakfast was ok, but it was included in the price so thats a positive It didn't have a wow factor though.

We stayed two nights at Abigail's based on reviews we had read. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful - from directions to restaurants, walking directions to sites, pouring our wine while we relaxed in the library, serving our breakfast, etc. The staff is the heart of the hotel. We liked the look of the hotel, warm and welcoming. Our room was very nice with one exception - the bathroom. We booked a standard queen and the small pedestal sink was in the room itself rather than the bathroom. The shower was so small that anyone of large stature would struggle. If I stayed here again I would choose a different room for sure - only because of the bathroom. But the common areas were really nice - the library became our wind down spot and the dining area, while quite small was nice. Again, appetizers in the evening were good and plentiful and the breakfast was excellent with three choices each day. I never left hungry, in fact quite full. Try this hotel - it's nice - but make sure you ask about the bathroom first.

A++, 5 stars, more stars if I could give them. This is an excellent, romantic hotel in Victoria. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed it. If we ever travel to Victoria again, this will be our first choice hotel. The hotel itself is a short 5-10 minute walk to downtown. By the second day we’d figured out the most direct route and were walking it without the assistance of maps. Plenty of free parking. There is a small charming courtyard outside for sitting, as well as a nice library with books, board games, a TV, lots of movies and tea, coffee, beer and wine. We enjoyed one night of tea and Scrabble, while conversing with another traveler doing the same. It’s a nice setting reminiscent of quiet, more adult hostels in Europe. The included breakfast is exceptional! Each morning you’re provided a small menu with several beverages, breads, fresh fruit salad, and entrée choices...a light, a sweet and a savory. My wife and I enjoyed a sweet and savory each meal, along with the added pleasures, or side dishes. The cook and servers are all very friendly and make you feel well taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better start or meal to the day. There is also a small appetizer served in the evening. We were only around at the right time one evening and it was a nice, tasty snack before we headed out for a larger meal. The rooms are romantic, very clean and nicely arranged. We stayed in one of the Amethyst suites, which has a romantic, sort of sexy black velvet décor. I’d highly recommend it to a couple looking for a romantic stay. It was a first floor corner unit, quiet and had every amenity we needed. We were greeted in the room by a personal note from the staff and some baked cookies which were delicious. This room has a small, European style (1 person) shower in the bathroom, which functioned perfectly well despite its small size. There’s great water pressure and lots of hot water. The staff was all extremely friendly and professional. You’re greeted by a friendly smile every time you pass through the lobby and everyone seemed genuinely focused on making our stay comfortable. Overall, one of the best overall hotel experiences I’ve had. They really did everything right and the hotel, staff, amenities and meals are all outstanding. You won’t be disappointed.
