We had a room in the Coach House. The only two negatives are that the TV was VERY small and there was a charge for an additional log for the fireplace of $5.00. Seems petty to charge $5.00 for a presto log.

What can you say — great location, wonderful service from everyone on staff, superb breakfast, very nice rooms. Really enjoyed the evening appetizers and wine. This will be our place to stay from now on.

We received a nights stay at Abigail's as an anniversary gift and had an excellent time! From being very accommodating when having to adjust our booking due to my husband being ill and everyone we encountered during our stay, the customer service was excellent. The evening appetizers and breakfast the next morning we're fantastic and the bed super comfortable! It was a lovely stay and we hope to be back soon.

Abigail's hotel is hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed in. As a boutique hotel, they offer a level of hospitality and attentiveness that luxury hotels just can't match. The heritage buildings are gorgeous and perfect for a relaxing night in, nestled in a quiet cul de sac, but also close enough you can walk into the heart of the city. The staff makes you feel so welcome and taken care of and do not hesitate to assist you with whatever request. I had a ridiculously late check in, but even at 1am I was greeted warmly, assisted with my bags, and had delicious cookies waiting in my room. When I had to check out at similarly early hours, the staff didn't miss a beat helping me arrange a taxi and offering me breakfast to go. I love this hotel. In addition to the exceptional staff, the room was so lovely, bed was like a cloud to sleep on, and the breakfast service is better than some restaurants.

My wife and I stayed at Abigail's for several nights in mid-November and we were very pleased with everything about this well-situated boutique inn. It's located within easy walking distance to downtown, but is located on a quiet cul-de-sac. Everything was terrific -- from the greeting on check-in, to the room (more on that later), the filling afternoon appies and of course, the breakfasts, which each morning were highly creative and satisfying -- and are included in the price of your stay. We had stayed in many Victoria hotels, inns and b & b's over the years, but for some reason, hadn't yet tried Abigail's. So glad we did this time. The welcome was both efficient and warm and our host was only too willing to take our bags to the room, which was located three floors up. Note: there is no elevator, so if you have mobility issues, please make sure to tell the hotel when booking so they can make appropriate arrangements. Our top-floor Sapphire room was spacious, spotless and well appointed and on these blustery November days and nights the room's fireplace was a real gift. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10 in a beautiful breakfast room and the menu varies each day with choices including beverages, fruit and a choice of sweet or savoury. The chef's creations were all substantial and first class as was the attention to detail by the wait staff. Long story short: we will certainly be back as there are other room types to try out. Being in a heritage house, the rooms are differently configured depending on which floor you are on and it's all explained on the website. Many of the rooms have fireplaces, but not all, so check when booking if this feature is important to you. Bonus: parking is free. One final note that demonstrates the thoughtfulness of the staff. While eating breakfast on our last morning, we were provided some food to take home by another guest, but it needed to keep cool. The staff immediately provided a covered bucket with ice that gave us assurance our food would safely make the journey home. In closing, it was clear at every turn that the staff are well trained and genuinely like working at Abigail's. You will not be just another anonymous traveller here, which is the case at some many hotels...this inn feels like home.
