When I read the listing online, I knew this was the hotel for us. We avoid the large "cookie cutter" hotels and Abigail's was perfect. The staff made us feel at home, faultless service, offered to help us carry luggage to our room (up two flights as there is no elevator) suggested excellent restaurants, arranged taxi service when needed. The afternoon appetizers were delicious and the breakfast were spectacular. I know the room was one of the smaller ones at Abigail's, but it was comfortable and ideal for us.

We recently enjoyed two nights at Abigail's. This small hotel is located a few blocks of the main tourist area of the city, close enough to easily visit the legislature, the museum, and the main tourist streets, yet far enough to be quiet and peaceful. Our room was lovely, with a great bed, jacuzzi bath, and lots of room to feel comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding, with a range of offerings by the chef and excellent service. There is a large lounge as well as several secluded outdoor tables. Front desk staff are lovely to deal with as well. Guests (in general) are of comparable quality to the property; one night was disturbed by a noisy couple (who quickly apologized to the night manager); the limited amount of soundproofing in some walls was otherwise not a concern. We consider this to have been a very rare event and not something to deter a traveler - we will return, without hesitation.

This was our second time visiting Victoria and we love the city. Last time we stayed at more of a downtown location, which was wonderful but we wanted to try another hotel for our second stay. Based on TripAdvisor reviews, we booked at the Abigail. The hotel is a bit unassuming when you first get there. Tucked away on a quiet street and if you blink, you might miss it or think it's another set of quaint condos. The staff was great. The rooms were beautiful and each one was a little different. Our favorite part was the complimentary breakfast every morning. The dining room is small but the food was delicious! Different choices every morning and they never disappointed. They also had little snacks in the afternoon if you were around the hotel at that time. My only downside is that it's a bit of a trek to get to the center of town but the walk is really lovely. There's also multiple buildings and cobblestone paths to get from one building from the next and no elevators in the multi story (though only about three or four stories) so people that have trouble walking might want to stick to the main building or a lower floor when booking. We would highly recommend the Abigail for anyone that needs a place to stay in Victoria!

We stayed at Abigail's for two nights during our driving tour of the Pacific Northwest. It was the perfect stay that exceeded our expectations on every level. From our charming room to the scrumptious breakfasts, the attention to quality, detail, and hospitality were apparent and appreciated. The friendly and accommodating staff did everything to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay. I can't think of anything more that could have been done to meet our needs and make us feel like welcomed and valued guests. The breakfasts were as fine as I have enjoyed anywhere and we eagerly looked forward to our morning meal which started off each day on a high note. Everything was fresh, delicious, beautifully served, and satisfying. The afternoon receptions were a welcome repast midday that helped us unwind after a busy day exploring the waterfront. To room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The bedding was luxurious and provided the most comfortable nights of sleep on our entire trip. The gardens are colorful, peaceful, and serene; a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast or the afternoon reception. We just felt special here from the moment we arrived, through checkout. When we return to Victoria in the future, we will most definitely stay at Abigail's.

We stayed here for 3 nights earlier this month. Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Everyone we encountered there went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choices. I was very impressed by the selection of afternoon appetizers as well. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place.
