Reviews for Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa
This is an outstanding property in a great location. Great rooms and views. Don't miss the Lake Washington boat tour with Ross on the 1950's classic Chris Craft cruiser. The views of homes, mountains and city are spectacular. Ross does a terrific job of being a captain and tour guide.
the Woodmark Hotel was a fabulous spot for a wedding week-end. Everything was perfect. Marina Room worked very well for the reception. Accommodations were clean and bright. Food was outstanding and service impeccable. Staff very professional and friendly. Weather was also perfect - sunny and warm - which made being on the water a real treat.
My husband took me to the Woodmark for my 30th birthday. We don't get much time away without the kids so we were beyond eager for this stay. The man who greeted us as we drove up was wonderful. Very helpful and competent. We checked in and took our luggage up to the 4th floor. We tried our room key and it didn't work. Then we realized there were voices coming from inside our room. Back to the lobby we go and get a new set of room keys on the 3rd floor. The keys worked! However we discovered two queen beds instead of the one King bed like we had requested. So another trip down to the lobby and finally we are in our correct room. No apology just a "we've been busy this weekend" excuse. There were some very loud drunk guests (I'm assuming from one of the weddings) and it was impossible to relax while sitting out on the lawn. We finally turned our chairs around to face their room and had a little live theater experience going on. Overall we felt very undervalued and almost like we were a nuisance to them. We wondered several times if it was because we booked our hotel through Groupon and so we were obviously not one of the rich crowd. I do have to give credit to the chauffeurs however. Both young men were excellent despite one being a brand new employee. Another disappointment was the Beach Cafe. We waited for an hour for our breakfast. I ordered their handmade macadamia nut granola. In reality it was a chopped up Nature Valley Bar. You could actually put the pieces together and turn it back into a bar. There wasn't even a hint of Macadamia Nuts in it. I'm still completely confused as to how they can advertise it as they did. The waitress did give us free coffee for our long wait. The hotel itself is beautiful and the beds are very comfortable and our room was spotless. We rented jet skis for an hour and that was an absolute blast and Kirkland itself is lovely. However I think you have to display some serious wealth in order to get treated well. It had been 5 years since my husband and I have been able to get away, just the two of us, for a non work related vacation. It was unfortunate.
This hotel is wonderful. Although I live in Kirkland not too far from the hotel, my mom came to visit me not too long ago and we stayed here together. I was so impressed with the hospitality of the staff, the size of the room, and the overall atmosphere. The restaurants nearby are delicious, it's within walking distance of downtown Kirkland and the spa is a must. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.

This a beautiful resort on Lake Washington. We had a lakeside room with beautiful view of the lake and marina. It was a sunny weekend, clear blue skies with excellent views of the Olympic Mountain range. Such peaceful surrounding while still being in the city. Great dining and bars. Highly recommend.
