El Silencio Lodge & Spa

Loved the tranquility of this resort. Very walkable and plenty of things to do. My friend and I only left one time to visit some waterfalls off site which was nice. Even though there was only one restaurant all the food was amazing and I wish we could have stayed longer so I could try everything on the menu! My friend and I walked every inch of the property including the hike up to the waterfalls, down to see the horses, we caught our own fish and the restaurant cooked it for dinner one night, we enjoyed 7:30am yoga every morning, we loved our conversations with the barista and all of his knowledge on coffee, the spa experience was so relaxing, we loved the jacuzzi at our casita, the nightly bedside treats were an unexpected surprise and very much appreciated and we were impressed that they were different each night! All in all this was such a great experience for my best friend and I to get away and relax. Would definitely want to go back to El Silencio with my family in the future!

Each one of you made us feel genuinely valued, and your kindness and professionalism truly set this place apart. The rooms were beautiful and spotless, the spa treatments heavenly, and the food simply outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and served with such attention to detail. It’s rare to find a place where every person you meet feels invested in your happiness, but this hotel and spa truly has that spirit. We left feeling completely recharged and grateful for such an extraordinary experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you all for making our stay so special — we can’t wait to return.

I went to El Silencio Lodge & Spa on a solo trip in September to recharge my mind, body and spirit. I had the most magical time at El Silencio Lodge — truly a soul-expanding experience. Every single staff member was beyond lovely and so genuinely proud of this region of Costa Rica and El Silencio Lodge & Spa. You can feel their heart in everything they do, and their knowledge of the land and traditions made my stay unforgettable. 🌿 Andres led me on a birdwatching excursion where we spotted over 20 species — such a top-notch, joyful guide. 💧 Kenteth took me on the Blue Waterfalls & Mystic Hike, sharing wisdom that made the entire experience come alive. ✨ Katarina guided me through a waterfalls hike that felt like a divinely spiritual journey — her kindness will stay in my heart forever. 🎨 Ronald taught me the sacred tradition of oxcart painting with so much passion and love. ☕️ Luis guided me through an incredible coffee tasting — I had no idea how deep the history and culture of coffee runs until that moment. 🤝 Kevin was amazing from the very start — arranging my transportation and scheduling everything so seamlessly. And truly, so many others contributed to making my stay extraordinary — I wish I had written down every single name. The entire team at El Silencio embodies hospitality, knowledge, and heart in a way that I’ll never forget.
