Reviews for Lodge at Chaa Creek

Highly recommend!

This is the most accommodating resort I have ever been at! We came as a group of 9. we have special dietary restrictions and Chaa did everything to accommodate us! The actual grounds make you not want to leave from the bird watching, butterfly exhibit to the tubing down the river. The pool is so relaxing and overall it was a relaxing amazing stay. ( some of the rooms don’t have AC and it does get hot. We asked for additional fans and it was fine for us but just be aware that it can be hot in the rooms). The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was amazing, we would definitely return! - we visited some other resorts on our stay and this was truly our favorite. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

Luxury in the Jungle

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Above average accommodations and in the middle of the jungle. The whole experience was wonderful: the room, the meals, the grounds, the tours and the service. My wife and I were there on a week of birdwatching. On our tours we were accompanied by top notch birdwatching guides, especially Ricky. Ricky was our guide two days. He is a very kind man that we immediately liked. His birdwatching expertise was off the charts. They accommodated my change in schedule I made after arriving without a hitch(I decided I wanted to zip line through the jungle). The meal plan we were on was perfect for us. Occasionally, when our tours lasted through luncheon, we preordered lunch the day before and they were always tasty and beautifully prepared. The service was personal; they always remembered my wife drank Coke Zero and that I wanted a mocha over ice. I want to recognize Ezra especially as he was always so attentive at every meal. They have a different fruit/ water infusion each day. Nightly jungle tours and daily early morning birdwatching are also available.

Best resort in Belize

We loved Chaa Creek So much. We stayed at 4 different resorts throughout Belize and Chaa Creek was by far our favorite. The service was impeccable and many of the workers have worked there for years. The food— best food we had in all of Belize. Phenomenal. They give a vast amount of choices for lunch and about 5-6 entree choices for supper. Everything we ate was wonderful. The creatures of the night tour was fun. We also enjoyed seeing the ruins. The bird watching for free was also a great service. The pool is nice, clean, and drink Service at the pool. We will be back!!!!

All around amazing stay at Chaa Creek!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Our family of 5 (3 teens) loved our stay at Chaa Creek for 3 nights over spring break. We stayed in the spa Villa which was more than enough space for us. It was quite a hike from the rest of the resort and might be an issue for someone with mobility issues but was fine for us. Onsite, we did the butterfly farm tour which was awesome! The natural history museum was neat also and is a combined tour with the butterfly farm and both are free for guests. We also did the night hike which was pretty neat; we saw a variety of insects, lizard, snake, tarantulas but no mammals. The pool is awesome and heated! The drink and food service at the pool was great. We enjoyed the gift shop and bought many souvenirs and local made crafts there. The included breakfast was awesome! We ate dinner at the Mariposa restaurant all 3 nights and had exceptional meals every night. We hiked many of the trails and enjoyed them. We went on the zipline and cave tubing excursion at Caves Branch and the ATM tour booked through the resort. Both were amazing and highly recommended! We also booked shuttle service both ways (to and from the airport) and had great drivers who told us a lot about the area and history of Belize.

eco-lodge jungle heaven, with lots of birds

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We were very impressed with the Lodge — beautifully kept up — and every staff member, who were, to a person, highly competent, friendly, and welcoming. The food was varied and delicious, and we appreciated the flexible dining times. The Tikal and bird-watching excursions went off without a hitch. We spotted 100+ bird species during our visit. The Spa was an unexpected luxury and incredibly relaxing. Overall, our experience exceeded our expectations, even given that we inadvertently booked during Easter Week and spring break! Lots of families with children but there was plenty of room for all of us on the premises. We look forward to returning to the Lodge at Chaa Creek.
