About the Hotel

La Casa del Zorro Resort and Spa, a treasured Southern California retreat, has returned. The resort has been carefully restored to capture the elegance and style visitors first enjoyed in 1937. Experience the romance of a bygone era, with a superior level of service and the quiet, understated luxury of a classic resort. Be a part of the new and old traditions of authentic hospitality, serenity and solitude. La Casa del Zorro is San Diego County’s most celebrated and luxurious desert resort, just 90 miles northeast of downtown San Diego and a three-hour drive from Los Angeles. Borrego Springs Airport is only five minutes away, with complimentary transportation available. The centerpiece of the region is the 600,000 acre Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the #1 state park in California according to National Geographic, where the Santa Rosa Mountains soar 6,000 feet over the desert floor. The region is rich with hiking trails, wildflowers, desert flora and fauna, mesas, buttes, and canyons. Sweeping desert vistas, secluded palm groves, and little-known Native American village sites are ready for discovery.

Reviews for La Casa del Zorro Resort and Spa

We love La Casa Del Zorro

My husband and I came with our dog for the weekend and it’s fantastic! Great accommodations, delicious food, and wonderful service. The yoga class was excellent as is the fitness center, and the resort and surrounding hiking areas are lovely. Top notch customer service.

Nice experience

The staff were lovely and so helpful. We really enjoyed the grounds - beautiful! Service was somewhat slow when asking for things. Not their fault but we had a cricket in our room the first night making it difficult to sleep. Air conditioner was also not working the first night but they did offer to change rooms! We would definitely stay there again.

Great little oasis in the desert. Our casita was perfectly located across from the cafe ( Starbucks inside— the casitas have very small coffee makers for the size of the dwelling ) Very spacious casita with a private pool … was also convenient that there is a restaurant on site .

What an absolutely lovely weekend at the resort. The service was impeccable. Our guest room was perfect. The venue was amazing. I can't say enough. La Casa Del Zorro is such a relaxing and wonderful getaway. This was my third visit and I always hate to say goodbye.

We will stay longer than 2 nights next time and try to catch the spring blooms. The stargazing (lyrid) was spectacular even with the quarter moon(Wow, the darkest sky I've ever seen.). Love all the facilities and appreciated all the warm, welcoming staff. Romi at the front desk is great.
